What a year this has been for me…turning a big #, getting back to being a size single (that weight gain from perimenopause is crazy), partnering with other business owners and organizations, mentoring/coaching others, being booked almost every weekend this summer, getting booked for my first time out of state events back 2 back weekends AND out of the country (I went Global last Sunday!!!!)…causes for me to be extremely grateful!!!

In addition to being grateful…I am looking forward to my last special event of the year on 10/31. This girl needs a little break (special events will resume in January) and with the holidays coming next month and in December…I need to get in some quality time with family, friends, members of the line dancing community and of course solo quality time.

If you have been supporting, following, encouraging or praying for me….let me say thank you!

Today is the last day of 2025. Tomorrow begins a new year. Have you thought about what you are going to do next year? What do you want to accomplish personally, professionally and/or both?

If you haven’t done so, take 5-10 minutes today to think about what you want for yourself in 2026. Once you come up an answer, determine how you are going to hold yourself accountable. After that…think of a word, quote, scripture or something else to help you remain focused. Please know there will be obstacles that may come up, but use that word, quote or scripture to help you keep moving.

I have my word for 2026, I challenged everyone that attended line dance class to come up with something (they all did and shared it). So, now I am challenging everyone reading this post to do the same.

I started this business 5 years ago during the pandemic. I’ve had the pleasure of educating and equipping families and individuals with these personal protection items and educational products to help keep them safe. But it’s now time for me to shift and pivot, so I’m closing this business.

I am a huge advocate for therapy (not the ones we don’t pay like family, friends, coworkers, church members or strangers). While, it’s nice to have support from those I mentioned…many of them are not equipped or trained to help you navigate through many problems that you face. Trust me, I have been the unpaid therapist in the past. Now, I promote and suggest therapy. Why, because mental health matters and I want those that I love and/or care for to be well.

I know the holidays are approaching and it not may not be in your budget to pay a therapist or attend group therapy. Just know there are resources available such as the Employee Assistance Program offered by many companies that allows a certain number of free sessions a year, if you need help. There’s no shame in getting professional help and if we are honest with ourselves, many know we need it but refuse to because of what others may think of us.

I hope that this post will help folks check resources at work, do research in your city and/or set up an appointment. Your Mental Health Matters 24/7!!!
