What a weekend for LKN Krakens Errickson 12U! This team came ready to compete. They finished 4-0, and brought home the Gold Bracket Championship!

The bats were absolutely on fire all day, with the team putting up an incredible 33 runs over four games. From big hits to smart baserunning, this offense was rolling.

E. Brice had an unforgettable day at the plate, hitting for the cycle over the day with a single, double, triple, and home run! E. Francis, S. Gibson, A. Prihode, and C. Randall also came through with doubles, but the biggest story was how the entire lineup recorded a hit during the day and kept the pressure on.

Defensively, these players were a force. They held their opponents scoreless in 11 of the 15 innings they played over the day.

Every player stepped up, communication was strong, and the hustle was nonstop!
And then came the championship game.

The Krakens dominated offensively and defensively, winning 8-0. The offense racked up 10 hits, with E. Francis, K. Luther, and S. Gibson going a perfect 1.000 at the plate for the game Pitcher C. Randall and catcher A. Wize were locked in, working together to strike out 10 of the 13 batters and allowing just 1 hit and 1 walk.

What a day! It was amazing to watch all the players playing together as one team — cheering each other on, making the big plays, and trusting one another from the first pitch to the final out.

Way to bring home the gold!!

LKN Krakens Errickson traveled to Salisbury on Saturday.

The team went 1-1 in pool play, which put them at the top of the Silver Bracket. They won their first bracket game and then fell just short in the Silver Championship game, losing 4-5.

Offensively, K. Luther and C. Randall led the team for the day with a .600 batting average and 3 RBIs each. S. Gibson and M. Zimmerman followed with a .333 batting average each, with M. Zimmerman adding 2 RBIs.

On the mound, C. Randall led the way with 17 strikeouts, followed by K. Luther with 5 and E. Brice with 4. Congratulations to E. Brice for being awarded MVP!

The defense had some great moments as well. Our catchers, E. Francis and M. Gregory, did a great job behind the plate, helping keep the team focused and making plays when we needed them. S. Gibson, M. Gregory, and K. Densieski teamed up for a great double play.

A 2-2 weekend with plenty to build on. Most importantly, these players continue to support each other, pick each other up, and work together through the ups and downs.

They’re learning from their mistakes, celebrating each other’s successes, and growing as a team. With that kind of support and determination, they will go far.

We are looking forward to seeing what they do next weekend! LET’S GO, KRAKENS!
