Our rehabilitation approach at Back to Independence Rehab utilizes Activity based therapy (ABT) to help those with neurological impairments push through their limitations and rise above paralysis!

ABT includes 5 areas of focus to address recovery training:
-weight bearing
-functional electrical stimulation (FES)
-task specific movement
-mass repetition
-locomotor training

These areas help those who have experienced an injury or disease that involves paralysis such as spinal cord injury, brain injury, stroke, Guillain-Barrรฉ syndrome (GBS), multiple sclerosis, neuromuscular disorders, transverse myelitis, cerebral palsy, and other neurological injuries/disease.

People of all abilities are invited to participate in a FREE introductory workshop on martial arts & self defense.

Explore basic concepts of martial arts for fitness, flexibility, and self defense. All abilities are welcome! Activities are inclusive and can be enjoyed standing up or sitting down. The workshop will include two sections of activities plus breaks for food & socializing.
