Good Morning Storm! I hope everyone had a great weekend.
• Congrats to our Varsity team for their win versus West Lincoln on Friday! Our teams this week will play Lincolnton (JV at Home on Thursday at 6:30 PM; Friday at Lincolnton at 7:30 PM). Come out and support the Storm this week!
• Just a reminder that during our Home games (Varsity or JV), players should not be on the away side. We had a situation this Friday where some of our JV players were on their side talking to the other team in the middle of the game. This is not acceptable in our program. If this is a continued trend, the players may be asked to leave the event.
• Attached is the weekly schedule. Thursday, we dismiss school at 12:30 PM. JV players are allowed to leave campus, but must return to school by 3:15 PM. Parents/players are responsible for getting their kids back to school by 3:15, not coaches. If your child doesn't have a ride, they will come down to the Field House after school and sit in the bleachers. Our Varsity practice on Thursday will be from 1:30 - 3:00 PM.
• Our grading period ends tomorrow, October 13th. Report cards will not be printed this year per GCS. Next Monday (19th) is when grades are due. If our players are failing more than one class by that time, they will be dismissed from the team. No exceptions. We discussed this during the parent meeting back in August. We take our STUDENT-athletes very seriously. I will let your child know if they are in danger of this.
• Please do not park in the circle down at the field house. This is for coaches at AT personnel only. Our AT is one of the best and some days has to transition to multiple sports. This traffic makes it hard for her to do so.
• Last week, I sent a message from Mrs. Alexander about snacks/drinks, but forgot to include the link. It is going to be attached below.
