As we kick off the 2026 Summer World Series, Robin wanted to take a moment to share a few important thoughts with our Top Gun Sports family. ❤️

🙏 Please keep the family of Fergus Forbes in your prayers. Fergus was a respected umpire, a friend to many, and someone who loved the game. His loss is felt by the Top Gun Family. While weather forced us to cancel Opening Ceremonies, we ask everyone to take a moment this weekend to remember him and his family. We were going to have a prayer for them during this time, but the weather changed our schedules.

💙 We would also like to recognize three incredible individuals from the Extreme Performance 10U team:

⭐ Bobby Parnell
⭐ John Lang
⭐ Bre Johnson

Last weekend, during the Hawaiian Dual, these heroes stepped in to help a grandfather who was suffering a heart attack and their quick actions helped save a life. Their courage, composure, and willingness to help others remind us what this sport is truly about. 👏❤️

🏆 Softball is more than wins and losses. It’s about community, character, and looking out for one another.

The fields are ready.

A huge shoutout to our Top Gun Sports staff who worked tirelessly to prepare the complex and create an unforgettable experience for every player, coach, and family in attendance.

🚨🥎 SUMMER WORLD SERIES UPDATE 🥎🚨

Yesterday and last night, Mother Nature threw us a curveball.

The tropical cyclone that moved through the area left the fields at Rocky River Sports Complex and other parks in bad condition. Standing water, muddy infields, and field conditions that would have forced many tournaments to throw in the towel.

But our staff had a different plan.

💪 Before the sun came up, the Top Gun Sports and Rocky River Sports Complex crews were already hard at work.

🔥 40 bags of Quick Dry applied
🔥 Hours of manual raking
🔥 Continuous dragging and grooming
🔥 Water removal and field restoration
🔥 Schedule adjustments to keep teams playing

Because of their dedication and determination, teams from across the east coast will still get the opportunity to compete in the 2026 Softball Summer World Series this weekend.

While players will remember the big hits, great catches, championships, and memories made on these fields, we want everyone to take a moment to recognize the people behind the scenes who made it all possible.

👏 To our incredible field crew, operations staff and site directors—THANK YOU.

You refused to let weather win.
You refused to let these athletes miss their opportunity.
You rolled up your sleeves and got the job done.

The fields may have looked defeated this morning, but thanks to your hard work, Summer World Series softball is ON.
