Due to the potential for rain after 7:30 PM this evening, we are moving the 14U & 15U tryouts to an earlier start time.

New Tryout Time: 6:00 PM

Copperheads Top Performers – May 8–10

10U Black

Enzo Mangouri – Went 4-for-5 at the plate with 3 walks and 3 stolen bases while playing solid defense all weekend.

Logan Plunkett – Finished 8-for-11 hitting with 3 doubles and scored 6 runs.

Samuel Deaton – Continued to improve on the mound with his best pitching performance yet, throwing 5 innings in a tight game while allowing only 1 earned run.

Hamilton Baker – Delivered another strong outing on the mound, throwing a 6-inning complete game win while allowing just 3 hits, striking out 7, and giving up only 1 earned run.

10U Red

Wesley Carroll – Hit .667 on the weekend with 1 home run, 4 RBIs, 2 stolen bases, and 2 runs scored.

Zaine Hicks – Went 1-0 on the mound, pitching 7 innings with only 1 earned run allowed and 5 strikeouts.

Josh DeCrane – Earned a 1-0 record, pitching 6 innings while allowing just 1 earned run, striking out 5, and giving up only 3 hits.

10U White

Jay Umberger and Tanner Vaughn led the way both at the plate and on the mound. Each hit .625 on the weekend and both threw 3 strong innings on Friday night to help secure the win at Shipyard.

12U Black

Copperheads 12U Black went 3-1 on the weekend and captured the PG Mother’s Day Silver Bracket Championship.

The offense was outstanding, scoring 32 runs over the weekend. Wyatt Barnhardt led the team with a .857 batting average, 1 home run, 2 doubles, and 6 RBIs.

The pitching staff continued its dominant play, posting a 2.89 ERA for the weekend. Cam Sigmon threw a complete-game 4-inning shutout in the 8-0 semifinal victory, while Cooper Turner went 5 innings in the championship game, allowing just 1 earned run and striking out 9.

14U Gray

14U Gray had a slow start on Saturday but came out firing on Sunday, winning two games and capturing the Perfect Game SEC Silver Bracket Championship.

The Sunday pitching staff combined for 0 earned runs and 17 strikeouts. It was a complete team effort offensively throughout the day.
