Week 3. And you're already tired of waiting.

Waiting on your first-round pick to show up. Waiting on the rookie you drafted to pop. Waiting on a prayer you've prayed a hundred times.

Here's what this week's episode of The UNPACKIN' it Podcast unpacked: in fantasy, the managers who win are the patient ones. Most players don't hit their stride until Week 4, sometimes Week 7. The ones who panic-trade in September are the ones handing trophies to someone else in December.

Same is true in faith. The Bible's word for patience literally means long-suffering. Waiting is a circumstance. Patience is a heart posture. You can't skip the first one. You get to choose the second.

And here's the definition from Galatians 5 that stopped us in our tracks: "Patience: not the ability to wait, but how we act while waiting."

The best part? God doesn't ask you to deny what you're waiting for. He asks you to bring it to Him. And He promises the wait is stretching your capacity to actually enjoy it when it comes.

"Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous." (Psalm 27:14)
