The wait is over! Tonight we kick off our season against Forest Lakes South, and we couldn't be more excited to see our swimmers in action!

As you head to the pool, remember what makes the Hollymead Hammerheads special: teamwork, determination, encouragement, and sportsmanship. Cheer loudly for your teammates, support your competitors, and most importantly, have FUN!

Practice is currently scheduled to begin at 4:00 PM today. We are closely monitoring the weather and incoming storms and will provide updates if any schedule changes are needed.

We are so excited to kick off another amazing summer season with our Hammerhead family! Whether you are returning for another year or joining us for the very first time, we cannot wait to see everyone back on deck.

A few reminders for tomorrow:
✔️ Bring goggles, towel, cap, sunscreen, and warm clothes
✔️ Tennis shoes are recommended for dryland
✔️ Parents of younger swimmers should remain on deck
✔️ Team shirts available for pickup at the guard room
✔️ Team suits available to try on for sizing

🚨 Important Update for Hammerhead Families! 🚨

Due to circumstances outside of our control, we will not be able to access the pool deck this weekend as originally planned. Because of this, our Meet the Coaches event has been rescheduled.

📅 Friday, May 22
⏰ 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM
📍 Hollymead Pool

If the pool is still unavailable, we will move the event outside to Lakeside Middle School and will communicate any changes closer to the date.

Meet the Coach: Coach Aaron!

Coach Aaron is returning for another exciting summer with the Hammerheads! Aaron attends Albemarle High School and has been swimming competitively since he was 9 years old. His favorite stroke is Butterfly.

What Aaron loves most about Hollymead is the strong team connection and the excitement everyone brings to the sport. He is excited to coach and swim with the Hammerheads this summer and is looking forward to a fun and successful season! 🦈

Meet Coach Cara! 🦈

We are so excited to have Coach Cara back with the Hollymead Hammerheads this summer!

Cara brings an incredible background in both competitive swimming and coaching, including competing internationally for Team USA and becoming a two-time NCAA Division I Champion at the University of Virginia.

What makes Coach Cara so special is her passion for helping young swimmers grow in confidence, improve their skills, and love the sport of swimming.

We are so lucky to have her experience, energy, and enthusiasm on deck this season! ❤️🖤
