Here’s a little look into our Saturday at Clash of Champions!

These girls scored 36 runs while giving up just 7, went undefeated, secured the #1 seed, and brought home the gold! 🏆

There were moments we struggled and moments we fought right back. There were innings where our bats caught FIRE, our throws were spot on, and there was just no stopping them.

I know I’m hard on these girls. I know sometimes I don’t coach them perfectly. But man, do I love them. I love their families. I love this little team we’re building. Everything I ask of them comes from genuinely wanting to see every single one of them become the best little ballplayer she can be.

I’m incredibly thankful for these girls, our coaching staff, our dugout mom, our parents, and every single person who shows up and supports them.

This was only our second tournament together as a team, and walking away with the #1 seed and 1st place was a HUGE confidence boost.

If I’ve learned anything over the last few months, it’s that you simply cannot underestimate these little ladies.

You have to put them in new spots. You have to give them the ball. You have to let them struggle sometimes. You have to give them the opportunity to show you what they’re capable of instead of deciding for them what they can and can’t do.

Believe in them. Give them room to surprise you. And most importantly, make sure they still love this game.

You can’t turn a baller into a baller without letting her get the ball. ❤️🤍🖤
