The 2026 Boarder War is in the books. Through rain and chilly temperatures both sides fought valiantly. It was a close race till the end. Georgia edged out Tennessee 51.5-48.5 to take this year’s Boarder War Championship. Thanks to all who participated!

🏆The Superintendent of the Year award honors a superintendent who demonstrates professional skill and knowledge in the maintenance and development of their facilities. The award is presented annually to a superintendent who maintains his/her facility to a standard that reflects consistent, high-quality playing conditions, while displaying exceptional agronomic and management skills. This award is testament to dedication and expertise of a golf course superintendent who plays a crucial role in the overall success and reputation of his/her course.

👔The PGA Professional Development Award is designed to recognize golf professionals for their outstanding and continued contributions to developing and improving education opportunities for the PGA golf professional. The award is presented to an individual for their contributions to the national & section PGA education programs, contributions and assistance toward the development of articles which benefit and relate to education, and contributions to building the image of both the PGA Golf Professional and the Association. This year’s winner is Chris DeBusk.

🤝The Bill Strausbaugh Award recognizes PGA Professionals who, by their day-to-day efforts, have made significant contributions through mentoring of fellow PGA Professionals. The award also considers the integrity and character of the PGA member, proven leadership ability, service to the Association, and involvement in community and charitable activities. This year’s winner is Chris DeBusk.
