Big Shoutout to our Athlete Allie who has been KILLING IT so far this high school season solidifying her current role as a Rising Star!

Coming off a couple of injuries before our Full Testing Week, Sabrina started at a CMJ Vertical of 15.3” in July to a 18” 3 weeks later!

Jeremy has been working on his lateral quickness & Change of Direction. His initial 5-10-5 was a 5.37 and now in just two months of work cut it down to a 4.73!

Your athlete’s Throwing Power are based on trunk stability, flexibility & strength.

This includes the hips and their connection to the trunk during a throw.

Try these three exercises for increase rotational power that translates to throwing

1. Rotational Sn**ch to Press

This Sn**ch Complex Variation adds a stable & rotating press using the trunk to mimic to end of a throw with full hip to trunk connection!

2. OH Kneeling Hip Rotations

These hip flexor mobilizers help isolate the hips during rotation. When successfully isolated, the hips can be utilized more without resistance when throwing!

3. MB Sit-Up Throws

This Sit-Up Variation allows unrestricted use of the entire trunk to produce enough force to not only change your center of gravity but also release the resistance

Add these two Broad Jump Variations for Increased Power Output!

1.Broad to Vertical Jump

This 2-for-1 movement helps translate between linear & vertical power through two basic movements on each plane!

When going through this motion, ensure the athlete has shown proper landing mechanics for each jump before adding and increasing intensity!

2. Continuous Broad Jumps

This motion helps the athlete generate the necessary force for an explosive broad jump repeatedly.

Once the athlete can do so without interruption, they will be able to manipulate their power output much more effectively!
