Last week I had my first booth at Quilt Market! Quilt Market is a trade show where quilt shops can come and see products and companies associated with quilting can increase their visibility and make connections.

I was nervous because there were a ton of moving parts and things to prep for both the booth and a short presentation I gave. But while there are some things I will do differently in the future, IT WENT SO WELL! The new Scrappy Triangle foundation paper-piecing pads I introduced were a hit, my Schoolhouse presentation was full, and I'm in the process of getting my patterns carried by multiple major distributors! Which is a super big deal because it means that more shops will see my patterns and that they can be shipped to Canada and Europe through the distributor.

And I loved how helpful and supportive the other quilt pattern designers were. Lots of great tips and encouragement.

I've already signed up to have a booth at the H+H Americas trade show in May and I can't wait! It is going to be much smoother and even better the second time round!

It’s not the best picture of the quilt but I LOVE it! This was the picture that made me decide on the name Mirrored Diamonds. The pattern comes out tomorrow with both digital and print versions!

Want to join my local quilt shop's State Fair Sampler Sew Along? They will post a picture of one of the blocks each week on Facebook and encourage people to post pictures of their blocks in the comments. I have a half finished scrappy version that I want to finish up so I will be sewing along. Hope you join us!

Wednesday morning I was taking this picture of my quilts at Faust Park when the organizer of the Folklife Festival came over to talk to me. He said my quilts looked so pretty hanging on the building and asked if I wanted to display them this weekend. (In like 3 days. The day after my pattern release. That I was just taking pictures for. 😳)

I asked if he was sure. My quilts aren’t time period appropriate. He said, “close enough.” 😂😂

So I decided to do it! If you are in the St Louis area swing by Faust Park Saturday or Sunday 10-4pm, and say hi! There are tours of the historic buildings, demonstrations, and fun activities for the kids. (I made my own dipped candle last year!)
