Today turned out to be a good day going 11 for 14.

I’d like to take a moment to thank everyone who played a part in making the 3rd Annual First Responders Mental Wellness Fishing Initiative a success. These events take months of planning and have a lot of moving parts, especially when weather becomes a factor. There are many people working behind the scenes long before the boats ever leave the dock, and their hard work and dedication helped make this event possible. I truly appreciate everyone and the Chicago Police Command Staff who showed up in support, and who gave their time and effort to support our officers and this initiative. I also want to thank the Chicago Police Marine Unit, Air Unit, and Mounted Unit for continuing to show up year after year and helping make these events even more meaningful. Also thankful for our boating community and Charters for stepping up and being part of this meaning event. Your support does not go unnoticed, and I appreciate every one of you.
