The Coalition returns! Back in action 🏈🏈

Basketball Season is in full swing. To kick of the boys basketball season, our fellow Cheetahs participate in a series of events in order to bond as team, develop stronger connections with the coaching staff, and collectively give back to the community. Check out a few photos from their three day team building retreat. Shout out to Coach Jones, Coach Perry, Coach Thaxton, and AD Crosby for making this happen.

Events include: Feed My Starving Children Community Service Event, Team Overnight Team Building Lock-In & a 5K Hot Chocolate Run.

Lady Cheetahs Volleyball for the win!

Great performance by our girls last night. Our lady cheetahs displayed great teamwork and sportsmanship. Looking forward to many more amazing games for our cheetahs!

New School Individual Record! On yesterday our girls competed at the IHSA sectional. They finished top two in the 4x200 meter relay, earning a chance to compete at the IHSA Championship. They also set a new 4x100 school record. Special shout-out to Justis Bowen who set a new school record in the individual 200 meter dash, breaking the previous record set in 2019. She completes her final year of high school with the #1 rank 200 meter time in the Noble League this year. Congratulations. 🏅 🏅🏅Noble League - Chicago

New School Record! On yesterday, four members of our track & field team competed at the CPS Outdoor Championships. Those four young ladies (LaToya Larry, Justis Bowen, Kenyatta Newson and TJ Diggs) became DRW’s first female sprint relay team to medal at a CPS Championship meet (800 SMR). They also set a new school 4x200 meter relay record, bettering the old relay record set in 2017 (Mariah Williams, Terrianna Garner, Lecole Daniel, Jael Rutherford). Congratulations ladies! This past weekend our track & field team competed in the Noble League Conference Championship. Despite being without one of our top sprinters, our four member female team (Justis Bowen, LaToya Larry, Mariah Campbell & Kenyatta Newson) rallied together to win, and defend their 4x200 meter relay title. Shout out to Justis Bowen for a strong anchor leg. Individually, Justis Bowen was able to win, and defend her 200 meter title while running a personal best. Congrats ladies🥇🥇

This past weekend, our athletes competed at the CPS Track & Field Relay meet. Our girls took 1st place in the sprint medley relay and 3rd place in both the 4x100 & 4x200 meter relay (Ta’Jiah Diggs, LaToya Larry, Kenyatta Newson, Justis Bowen, Mariah Campbell). Congratulations to our Lady Cheetahs.

Special shout out to our guys as they placed in the top 8 in both the 4x100 and 4x200 meter relay (Deonta Callico, Jermaine Moore, Pierre Smith, Laufabian Wilford).
