Tell your Illinois State Rep to support Safety Stop!

Send an email message to your Illinois State Representative asking them to support HB4660!

If passed, HB4660 would legalize the safety stop in Illinois by allowing bicyclists to treat a stop sign as a yield sign.

This is a past due update to the rules of road to support the safety of bicyclists and is a proven way to reduce crashes in intersections.

By not completely stopping, bicyclists don’t need to restart slowly and awkwardly, and so spend less time in intersections, the most dangerous parts of our roadways.

People biking must still yield the right of way to pedestrians and to other roadway users who arrive first at stop signs.

We are also devoting at least one Monday Night to women only! (date tbd)
We added Saturday Intro to Track Clinic (like our super clinic of old) open to everyone!

May 4th: Monday clinics begin

June 27th: Intro to Track Clinic (open to everyone)
