CELTS Swim School

At CELTS Swim School, Swim America, our classes are designed to teach the power and joy of swimming. We focus on rapid learning and swim safety and offer small class sizes that maximize our time in the water, accommodating every swimmer.

We're technique-oriented. We teach your child to swim like a pro with expert techniques from the first day in the water.

We're goal-directed. Our coaches (in-water instructors) focus on achieving the critical skills to move your child through the teaching progression as rapidly as possible.

All learning is individually based. Your child will learn as fast as they can, and there will be no waiting for the “next session,” and that's crucial when your child's safety is at stake.

Lifeguard Certification Classes will take place on February 25-27 at Matteson Community Center. The class offers certifications in Lifeguard Training, First Aid, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED Essentials, and Preventing Disease Transmission. The cost of the program is $190. Swim Clinic is a great opportunity for new swimmers to experience what it's like to swim in a group, similar to a swim team. In this clinic, swimmers will focus on stroke mechanics and technique, learning basic drills, and skills appropriate for their age and level. They will also have the chance to meet coaches, make new friends, and have fun!

As a lifeguard, you'll ensure the safety of our guests and respond to emergencies quickly and efficiently. Plus, you'll receive training and opportunities for personal growth, and you'll stay fit while enjoying the sun.

Maurine, “Mighty Mo” as her teammates call her, competed and broke the record for her age group (women’s 100-104) 50 free. It is amazing that she broke the record, but what's even more amazing is the age group she swam in tops out at 104 years old, which means she has the potential to dominate this event for 3 more years till she ages up!
