The Crowel Agency Inc Lanternman Super Hero of the Munster vs. Lake Central Sectional softball game on 5/28/26 was Lake Central's Maddie Such!
After a shakier start by her standards, Such was dominant against Munster. Such pitched the entire game, giving up just three hits and one run. Alongside picking up the win, the LC starting pitcher logged 10 strikeouts.

GAME NIGHT IN THE REGION: We will have two games on our platforms this evening, with coverage beginning around 5!
A sectional champion will be crowned between two of the top-ranked softball teams in the State, who happen to be meeting for a third time this season. Lake Central and Crown Point will battle for a trophy, with live video on the IHSAA Champions Network (audio stream on other platforms).
Two more Duneland rivals will square off in baseball, as Valparaiso and Chesterton seek to move onward to the Sectional Championship on Monday. That broadcast will be a QuietCast.

The Proud to be Union Play of the Game, presented by Ironworkers Local 395, for the Munster vs. Lake Central baseball sectional game on 5/27/26, was a three-run shot by LC's Brayden Walls!
The starting catcher put the game on ice at the top of the fifth inning, nearly capping off what was an eight-run frame. Walls got a hold of a pitch and drove it over the right field fence!
Lake Central scored all of its runs unanswered to open up the sectional with a 13-3 win over Munster!

The Boilermakers Local 374 Blue Collar Player of the Game for the Munster vs. Lake Central sectional baseball game on 5/27/26 is Munster's Danny Bevil!
The starting first baseman for Munster went one-for-two at the plate, knocking two of his teammates in. Bevil helped kick off what was a notable start for Munster.

The Lake Central starting pitcher went five innings, giving up just three runs on five hits. After a shaky start, the starter locked back in and helped Lake Central advance to tomorrow's Semis!
