Every student and family should have access to this kind of education—understanding money early truly shifts the trajectory of their future.

As a Financial Wellness Trainer, Speaker, and Author—and a former scholarship judge—I’ve seen firsthand how powerful it is when families understand the ins and outs of financial aid, student loans, and scholarships. I also gave real insights into what scholarship judges look for in applications—information I wish every student had before submitting theirs.

The 2024 State of Hispanic Homeownership Report is out! 📢🏡

The latest data from NAHREP reveals key trends in Hispanic homeownership, showing both progress and challenges:

📈 Record Growth – Hispanic homeowners now total 9.8 million, the largest increase of any racial/ethnic group for the second consecutive year.

📉 Slight Dip in Homeownership Rate – Despite growth in homeowners, the overall rate declined to 49% due to rising home prices and high interest rates.

🧑‍💼 Young & Ready to Buy – With a median age of 31, Latinos represent a powerful force in the housing market. However, affordability remains a major hurdle.

🏡 Finding Solutions – Hispanic buyers are relocating to more affordable areas, co-borrowing, and leveraging local programs to make homeownership a reality.

Hispanic homeownership is on the rise, but we must continue advocating for affordable housing, better access to credit, and policies that expand housing supply.
