Chicago’s Rueda community came out to send off Cindy in style. We will miss her!! Thank you to Julio, Adjora, Cindy, Alma, Estela and Sylvia for the photos. Edson de Cuba Dance Classes and DeeJay Prieto brought the music and the vibes. Estela, Alma and Silvia organized the despedida!!!

💃🕺🏼🎶🎶For many years Cindy Baker has been a guiding light in the Chicago Rueda scene. She has organized and coordinated flashmobs, workshops and dance gatherings.

She generously shares her knowledge with every newcomer and spreads her joy of Rueda de Casino everywhere she goes. She has been an important bridge between Rueda in Chicago and other cities in the US, traveling to Rueda gatherings around the country and bringing her expanding knowledge back to Chicago.

We are going to miss her a ton!!
