Just want to take time to celebrate one of the GREATEST BLESSINGS of my life. I’ve been privileged to have had a backstage pass to the epic production that is her life for the past 32 years! Today is a great day indeed as this world has been blessed by 49 years of her presence. Please help me celebrate the birthday of LaToya Nowlin Perry the wife of my life, queen of our clan, & caretaker of my heart. You’re a STUNNING example of womanhood, motherhood, wifey hood?! 🤷🏾 😂 I adore you baby. I really REALLY DO!! Thank you for choosing me to be the witness of YOU!

While I was away from the “gram”, 46 happened!!! Thank you all for the text, DM’s, calls etc… I’m sorry that I’m just now replying! I spent the last week on set working 12 to 13 hour days and sister was TI-RED! I worked on my birthday. When I finally made it home, my family was there and my husband had cooked up a feast! Thank you babe! I’m immensely grateful for another year of life and to be loved so dearly! Outside of my salvation, this completes my joy❤️❤️❤️

Today is a day that brings me and SO MANY OTHERS unexplainable as well as ABSOLUTE joy! It’s the birthday of my LIFE’S WITNESS, SOUL’S PASSION, THE MOTHER OF GIANTS, GRANDMOTHER OF TITANS, & MY AMAZING WIFE !! She’s on set today doing what she does, making connections with others and setting her family up for success. Join me in celebrating the birth of this EMPRESS among women. I love you bae! I thank GOD for blessing me with such an amazing and rare gift that is YOU!

This is one reason why the Word tells spouses to submit to one another. This means no one is vying for control or feels like they have to manipulate situations to have the “one-up” on the other. When you wrestle for power, you take your eyes off the goal and become distracted and focused on overcoming the other person, and you end up being controlled by all types of things. Retaliation, unhealthy competition, manipulation, rejection, vengeance...etc

By submitting or yielding to one another, you remain accountable to one another, and there isn't a need to wrestle for control because there is a natural yielding that takes place when we know the other is making decisions and moving for the benefit of the marriage and not just to benefit themselves.

It's so important to have friends that value the same things that you do! We know at least 4 out of the five couples pictured have at least 20+ years in the marriage game! It's a beautiful thing to see a group of married friends hanging out❤️
