A few pics of my unposted birthday shenanigans with my girls at the Isley Brothers concert last month.
I know I GOT WORK TO DO! š¶
However, in the midst of working, I do my best to always incorporate time for memorable moments of love, laughter, and joy with my family & friends.
While youāre on your journey doing the work and going through the process, donāt forget to get out and LIVE!!!
Happy Friday, darlings! š

Saw this quote on threads and it home for me. I learned this very early on in my journey.
I learned thereās freedom in letting people be wrong about you. Because if people really wanted the truth, theyād ask. Instead itās easier to just believe whatever story that feeds their own agenda, insecurities, etc.
I realized some people will always be committed to the version of you they created. So I let them keep it. And I stayed focused on the work. Because the work will always speak louderā¦than me chasing or correcting any misconceptions.
For the women reading this: you donāt have to shrink, explain, or overextend to be understood. Stay the course. Donāt interrupt your purpose to correct someone elseās perception. We donāt correct narratives, we build lives that outgrow them.

Well Hello May!!! š
Walking into a new month realizing how insanely delusional you have to be to build something from the ground up.
The hits you take behind the scene are unimaginable and would break most people.
Thank God I aināt āmost peopleā. Because everyday I choose to get up and keep moving forward no matter the obstacles. I remind myself I was made for this.
Because if donāt nobody else believe, I DO!
I believe Iām building something bigger than me.
I believe what Iām building will impact thousands globally.
I believe I can do good in this world and still live well.
And so the journey continuesā¦
Of me being the (go listen to the song lol)
Alright Mayā¦be good to me! šš½š§š½āāļøš
And to everyone reading thisā¦
May all your fears subside.
May all your burdens be light.
May all your dreams come true.

Yesterday we hosted our first Sponsor Appreciation Happy Hour.
Whether through sponsorship, partnership, or in-kind contributions, they have helped the Black Women Professionals League create meaningful experiences, expand opportunities, and pour into the next generation of leaders.
No program. No pitches. Just good people, good energy, and genuine love and appreciation.
Extra special thank you to my Sistar Serita Love for hosting us and to our newly appointed Ceremony Event Chair Tamaka Michelle for the idea.
Iām excited about whatās NOW (not next) for BWPL. If youāre interested in learning more about how you can become one of our Community Partners, shoot me a DM, text, or email.

As I approach another year of life, this song was a timely reminder to LIVE more. To experience new things, go new places, and meet new people.
God didnāt create me to spend my life in a constant state of fixing myself.
He created me to live life abundantly.
And in this season, Iām trusting that my living fully, purposefully, and authentically is the key to my healing. In my livingā¦I am made whole.
