Columbus Park Tennis Courts | Austin, Chicago

Make sure to watch this until the end to meet the cutest park superintendent we have ever encountered.

Columbus Park is as far west as you can go in the city, and it is worth the trip. A beautiful, quiet green oasis with 4 tennis courts and 4 pickleball courts. The surface is good with a slight slant and a few cracks, the nets are great, and there are lights for night play, though they are not perfect since they are a bit dim. Another thing to note is that the bathrooms are public but really far from the courts, which is not ideal when you are mid-match.

Columbus Park Tennis Courts
Court Surface: Abhisek 7.5 / Raluca 7.5
Nets: Abhisek 8.5 / Raluca 9
Bathrooms: Abhisek 3 / Raluca 4
Availability: Abhisek 6 / Raluca 7.5
Overall Vibe: Abhisek 7 / Raluca 7.5
Final Grade: 7.1

Have you ever played here?

River Park Tennis Courts | Lincoln Square - North Park, Chicago

I did absolutely no editing for this video because the sounds of tennis in the summer are unmatched. We had the best night playing doubles with amazing players and such fun people, so just enjoy this one without the usual background music.

If you are a Chicago tennis player, you have probably played here before. These courts are a staple. Lights for night play, public bathrooms, and a community of solid players, many of whom play league matches here regularly. Easily accessible by bike, car, or an 18 minute walk from the Brown Line.

And while you are there, River Park has one of the best public pools in the city. Make sure to take advantage of this summer.

Court Surface: Abhisek 8.5 / Raluca 8.5 (some cracks showing but still great)
Nets: Abhisek 8 / Raluca 8.5

If you are a tennis player in Chicago, you have probably played here. Where do these courts rank for you?

Three weeks in a row we had to cancel tennis plans because of rain or poor air quality. And then there was the time we spent an hour drying courts only for a second storm to roll in five minutes into playing. But this weekend we got perfect weather. Get out there and enjoy it! 💪☀️😎 ☀️

Eugene Field Park Tennis Courts | Albany Park - North Park

These are amazing courts located in a beautiful park. They might be some of the best courts in Chicago: recently resurfaced, with 4 tennis courts and 2 pickleball courts in a gorgeous park where the river and many trails pass by.

The nets are in great shape, the park itself is beautiful, and there’s a field house nearby with actual bathrooms and AC. What more do you want.

Go play here.

A man can dream 😂! Jokes aside, perks of getting married to a former tennis player are all the free lessons (maybe not so free). ❤️💞❤️
