From weekend getaways to week-long adventures, our 2027 lineup has something for every skier and snowboarder. Spots are limited and many of these trips fill quickly (very), so be ready when registration opens.

🚴☀️ Summer Bike Ride – Chicago Lakefront Trail ☀️🚴

Join LPSC for a scenic ride along one of Chicago’s most iconic routes! We’ll cruise approximately 18 miles on the beautiful Lakefront Trail, enjoy spectacular skyline and lake views, and make a couple of fun stops along the way.

📅 Saturday, August 8, 2026
🕣 Meet at 8:45 AM
📍 Meet at the Totem Pole. Waveland & Lakefront Trail, Chicago. We’ll stop at Promontory Point to take in the incredible views, then continue to a refreshment stop. Riders looking for an extra challenge can extend the route with an optional ride to the Garden of the Phoenix (Japanese Garden) and Cultural Center, adding approximately 6 miles roundtrip.

📅 Sept 5th, 2026
🕚 Meet at 8:45 am and promptly depart at 9:00 am
📍The Half Day Forest Preserve, from the first parking lot. It is on Milwaukee Avenue approximately 1 mile north of Half Day Rd.
🌯 We will meet after the ride for lunch around 12:00pm, location TBD.
🚲 Ride length will be as you prefer, 20-30+ miles

🚴 Ride departs promptly at 9:00 AM (please arrive on time!)
💲 Cost: Bring money for beverages and snacks.

🚲 Important Reminders
• All participants must follow LPSC Cycling Policies.
• Need help with your bike? Arrive 30 minutes early for basic bike prep assistance.
• Check your tire pressure the day before—it makes a huge difference in how easy your ride will be!

Whether you’re a regular rider or just looking for a fun morning outdoors, come enjoy great company, fresh air, and some of the best views Chicago has to offer.

Meet us at the the Totem Pole at Waveland and the Lakefront Trail at 8:45 am to our first Summer bike ride! We will be heading to Hyde Park to experience the Lakefront trail, with an optional extension to the Cultural Center and Japanese Garden adding 6 miles roundtrip.

Enjoy nothing but spectacular views & great LPSC company.

We will make two stops: first at Promontory Point, to take in the breath-taking view and another for refreshments.
