The Illinois Veterans Home in Manteno, IL. The Manteno Veterans Home opened in 1986 in Kankakee County. The home is comprised of four major nursing care units and two ancillary service and support buildings. With a total capacity of 340 beds, the Manteno Home offers a broad and diverse range of programs and services to eligible veterans. Queen of Martyrs Parish, Chicago, IL. Fred and his wife Barbara, parishioners since 1981, proudly sent their three children to elementary school at Queen of Martyrs. Friends of Fred will create a Deceased Parent Education Assistance Fund. School officials will submit qualifying students for board member approval. Rita of Cascia High School, Chicago, IL. Fred (Class of 75), Brandon, Son (Class of 99). Rita of Cascia High School is a Catholic college preparatory school for young men. Fred was a proud band member of four years.
