The IIHF Disciplinary Board has annulled the Council’s January 2026 decision to block Russia’s reintegration into international competition, but has confirmed this does not mean Russia is automatically reinstated.

The Board has referred the matter back to the IIHF Council to re-analyze the situation based on safety, security, operational, and sporting considerations. The Council will determine Russia’s eligibility for future IIHF competitions on an event-by-event basis.

NEW NBA ANTI-TANKING RULES: The NBA’s Board of Governors have voted in favor of adding new anti-tanking rules & changing the NBA Draft Lottery odds to punish the bottom three teams in the standings, as they’ll be in a “relegation zone” with worse odds 👀

No team will be able to win the No. 1 pick in back-to-back years or be able to win three consecutive top five picks.

The changes will be implemented next year & be in effect until 2029.
