One thing about me, I am a sistah’s sister!
I mean as a middle child, I was born into this.
It’s my natural place.👧🏽
So when I can be around the genuine, transparent, aligned, and supportive energy of my GOA sisters, everything feels like girl power.💜🙌🏾🤌🏾💪🏾💜
Maybe that’s why visiting the Obama Foundation OPC in the company of my sisters felt more whole than my first solo visit.
Not only that moment, but our collective visit set the tone for what was to follow during our annual GOA convening held this year at the OPC Home Court.
Side by side, with arms linked we went about the business of dreaming, learning, celebrating, and creating the path to liberation and healing for the girls we serve.
One thing about it, no matter the room, when sisters gather, we lift as we climb… and WE; us, our girls and community, are elevated.
Major shout out to for her tenacious spirit and her bold resolve to explore the world intent to bring the most audacious and inspired rituals + resources to the girl servants of Chicago.
So often new and shiny excludes community, extracts and discards. But Bri is ours. She IS us! We gather because of her deep connections and knowing.
And we are all collectively linked to her success… the success of GOA.
That’s the mandate!
Hugs to all my sisters and day ones!
