Thank you runners and volunteers for making the 2024 Fall Chicago Lakefront 50/50 another huge success! One of the ways we are trying to be GREEN and help the environment is to collect used running shoes to keep them out of landfills. A number of runners brought their old running shoes, we collected 14 pairs, and shipped them off to GotSneakers: https://gotsneakers.com/
These shoes will be reused and/or repurposed and will not be thrown away. You can start your own collection by going to the website and getting a free postage paid FedEx bag to ship your athletic shoes to them - no need to wait for the next Chicago Lakefront Ultra race!
