What drives progress is the combination of effort, consistency, and direction.

Consistency without direction is random effort.
Effort without consistency is short lasting.
Direction without effort gives the body no reason to adapt

You need all 3, and in my opinion the simplest way solve those problems is to train from home with minimal equipment, hire a coach, and follow a structured program.

This is how you keep building when everything else in life is demanding more.

Press to handstand, middle split, and dragon squat.

Three goals unlocked within a few months of working together.

Before starting online coaching, Austin had a great handstand. Her foundation in strength and mobility was solid.

She felt like she was missing structure to continue advancing though.

We built a plan focused on raising her baseline and short handstand sessions spread out throughout the week to keep focus and quality high.

She brought the effort, she was consistent, and she had the structure and guidance to back her up.

If you’ve been putting in the effort and been consistent but still not where you want to be, shoot me a message with what you’re struggling with and we can chat about whether my style of coaching can help.

I’ve been coaching for over 13 years, spent the first 6 as an in person coach. It’s valuable and worth it for very specific people who need the accountability and the social aspect of being around a lot of people.

Online training is for the busy professional that’s self driven, that thrives on structure and clarity.

- No scheduling conflicts bc it’s asynchronous
- Personalized program for each day your training, no more guessing what to do when you’re not with your in-person coach.
- A deeper understanding of what, how, and why you’re performing the movements so the cues actually stick.

Online coaching forces you to learn how to see yourself move. That’s a skill most people never develop.

Fresh sets are where gains are made.

Take this example:

5, 100 yard sprints back to back is basically just 1, 500 yard sprint.

Accumulated time, you’ll have faster run times if you rest between your sprints vs all in one go.

Same goes for skills and weightlifting. More rest means you’re able to work at your hardest, longer. Which means more time spent doing hard things.

When fatigue sets in, not only does quality of work go down but it’s so much harder to lift heavy or balance as well as when you’re fresh.

More work and more will power won’t replace a solid plan. Remember, we only get stronger from working hard AND recovering. Not just working hard and working hard again.

Information is everywhere. Application is what makes a difference.

Free resources are great for exposure and ideas but they don’t really buy you time or peace of mind, they just give you more progressions. Sometimes that helps… other times, it just adds more noise and second-guessing.

Shoot me a message with what would help you the most. What would be the most helpful to you right now? To have some free resources to explore on your own or a personalized plan with guidance along the way? Happy to point you in the right direction either way đź’Ş

Every skill has its own unique combination of strength, flexibility, and body control.

The better that foundation is, the easier it’s going to be to apply the technique and make the skill as efficient as possible.

For example, my client Kerri has really good shoulder mechanics for the press to handstand. She has built all-around strength, all around mobility, and good balance in the handstand. What she needed was to understand how to coordinate all those attributes together in a way that works for her.

Ask yourself honestly…Do you have the strength to support yourself in mechanically disadvantaged positions?

Do you have the mobility to access those positions?

Do you have the understanding to know what to do, how to do it, and why to do it?

Not everyone has the same sticking points. Some lack strength, some lack mobility, some lack technique. Some lack all of it.

When you practice though, you have to make sure you are solving the right problem. That’s how you get ahead.

Many people solve the wrong problem

- they practice more when it’s that’s actually a strength deficit
- they double down on strength when they actually need more flexibility
- they stick to stretching when they should be strength training

Candice has a fantastic handstand. What she needed were the specific cues for where she was lacking.

For most, effort isn’t the missing ingredient. Accurate feedback is.

A training plan without structure is just junk volume.
A movement without clarity is just guessing.

If you’re tired of junk volume and you’re tired of just guessing, shoot me a message with what you’re struggling with and I’ll see if I can help.

Most people are solving the wrong problem.

They chase a skill in hopes of improving their strength and mobility. Most of the time, they see beginner gains and then get stuck.

The problem is, the skill will only go as far as what your body can handle.

Build the body that supports the skill, and the technique no longer has a physical limitation.

Range of motion is the prerequisite. Here’s what most mobility-focused practitioners are missing.
