Four Chicago Walkers were at the fall race walk competition in Kenosha WI on Sunday. Rich walked a 10K in 1:06:34, Barb walked a 5K in 39:41 and Doris and Donna judged the race walks. Meanwhile, Chicago Walkers Pablo and Marcia completed the Chicago Marathon with Pablo walking it in 4:14:03 and Marcia running and walking to finish in 4:47:08.

Six Chicago Walkers completed the Wisconsin Half Marathon on Saturday. Congrats to Kim and ML for finishing their fist half marathon - and for finishing faster than some of the rest us.

April 12 Pan American Cup Trials

Congratulations to Elgin Shark Anali Cisneros and to Elgin Sharks, Anthony Peters, now at St. Ambrose, and Alexander Peters, now at North Central College, for making the the Pan American Junior Race Walking Cup U.S. team. Anali placed 1st in the junior women's Pan American Cup Trials on April 12 with a 10K time of 50:54 and Anthony placed 1st in the junior men's Pan American Cup Trials with a 10K time of 44:41. Congrats also to Elgin Shark Jennifer Lopez, now at St. Ambrose, for placing 5th in the women's trials with a time of 53:36.
And a big thank you to Coach Diane for training three of the six members of the U.S. team that will compete in Chile on May 9.
