"Football Changed My Family's Future..." Jalen Willams Opens Up About Life, NIL & Being Overlooked 05/22/2026

Jalen speaks candidly about the business side of modern college football and how NIL, recruiting, and the transfer portal have changed the game for athletes today. While earning a free college education was one of his biggest goals, he explains how he also wants to create long-term wealth through football by investing smartly and building a stable future for himself and his family. His maturity and perspective at such a young age make this conversation stand out from typical recruiting interviews.

"He Almost Quit... Now He's D1 Bound" Jalen Williams On Recruiting, Rejection & USF Commitment 05/21/2026

Jalen Williams’ journey is a reminder that patience, growth, and development can completely alter the direction of your life.

At one point, he was known primarily as a standout high school basketball player. Then came the transition — adding weight, converting to tight end, learning a different level of physicality, detail, and understanding of the game.

At this time he was committed to USF, solid in his position and thankful for the opportunity. But he stayed patient, kept working, and had a tremendous senior season that shifted everything. His recruitment changed. His opportunities expanded. And ultimately, the process brought him closer to home as he decommitted from USF and committed to Cincinnati.

That’s why patience matters.

Sometimes your breakthrough comes late in the process. Sometimes the version of you that receives the opportunity has to be developed first.

Jalen kept growing instead of panicking.
Kept building instead of complaining.
Kept believing instead of folding.

And the process responded.

Nothing accidental about it.
Development changed the trajectory.

“0 Offers to D1… Then Everything Changed 😳 | Kaden Hurst’s Recruiting Journey Part 1” 05/21/2026

Kaden Hurst is one of the toughest athletes mentally that I’ve been around.

His journey toward becoming a Division I athlete hasn’t been smooth or easy. It’s been uphill battles, adversity, setbacks, and moments that would’ve made many people quit or lose belief.

But his maturity through the process has allowed him to continue growing, adjusting, and pushing forward. That mindset has already helped him accomplish so much — and there’s still more ahead.

Toughness isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s simply the ability to keep going, keep believing, and keep working when things don’t unfold the way you hoped.

At Traction Athletic Performance, wide receiver and tight end trainer Dre Muhammad works with three athletes at very different stages of their journey — but all headed toward something bigger. In this mic’d-up session, Dre’s voice becomes more than instruction… it becomes the theme of the day: you can’t just try — you have to thrive.
Standing beside him is Quay Guilford, the newly committed Ohio State Buckeye and the #1 player in the state of Indiana. With that position comes pressure — a target, expectations, and the reality that talent alone won’t keep you at the top. Dre speaks directly to that weight. He reminds Quay that every workout has a breaking point, a moment where the body wants to fold and the mind wants relief. And it’s in that moment — the moment nobody sees — where excellence is earned. Not for Friday nights anymore, but for Saturdays in the Big Ten… and eventually Sundays at the highest level.
On the field with Quay is Maddox Weil, the top player in Indiana’s 2028 class — a young star already holding offers from Miami, Michigan, Penn State, IU, and more. Dre’s message hits him too. The next level isn’t impressed by flashes of greatness. You have to sustain it. You have to operate at a level of excellence every single day. Dre pushes Maddox toward that standard — not toward comfort, but toward consistency, toward a mindset that will prepare him long before he steps onto a college campus.
And then there’s Jaydin Haller, an up-and-coming athlete in the class of 2030 — young, hungry, wide-eyed, and absorbing everything. Jaydin represents the beginning of the journey. He watches Quay and Maddox closely, seeing where the work can lead. Dre’s words are shaping the foundation he’ll stand on for years: don’t just do the rep… push through the rep. Don’t just chase opportunity… prepare for it.
In this session, Dre Muhammad isn’t just coaching routes or footwork. He’s shaping identities — reminding each athlete that the road to greatness is long, unforgiving, and built on moments where most people break. The ones who make it aren’t the strongest for a day or a week… but those who can sustain their strength, discipline, and hunger over years.
Because the goal isn’t just to play.
It’s to thrive.
And every rep in this room is proof that they’re chasing exactly that.
