Junior’s Kustom BMX

When I was a kid, my Dad had this badass black and white picture of him in his 1979 Pontiac Trans Am. In my family, it’s considered an iconic photo. My cousins remember the car, and my Dad often told stories about that car and how badass it was. My Dad was also especially fond of the Smokey and the Bandit movie, because it featured a Trans Am as the main car. Hell, the car is basically a character in the movie. When I got this GT Interceptor last year, it was kind of beat. Pitting chrome, stickers ripped and peeled, missing original parts. I thought to myself “it’s a race bike, what can I do with it to make it unique?” Then I came across the CK Firebird seat…and 💡 We shall turn the Interceptor into the Bandit edition. I figured it’d be a great way to learn how to paint graphics on to a bike, perfect my spray can abilities, and create the ultimate tribute to a great movie, and more importantly, my Dad. I can’t wait to put this together to show it off. 1-2 more weeks and I’ll be showing you the complete!
