Let me explain this with a basketball analogy.๐
All three of my kids play, but Iโll use my youngest to make this point.
Sheโs been training for years. Sheโs worked on her shooting form, footwork, conditioning, and defense. When you watch her in practice, she looks ready.
And she is ready - BUT practice doesnโt win games.
I know they say โpractice makes perfectโ but at some point, the ball has to go live.
Right?!
There are defenders, pressure, and real-time decisions that she gets to make. Thatโs when she will find out what works.
This is what I see happening in business for a lot of entrepreneursโฆ
They are constantly preparing. Theyโre posting content, building funnels, setting up systems, and refining their message.
None of this will replace being in the game.
And the game is conversations with real people.
This is where clients are created. This is where trust is built. This is where decisions are made.
If youโre doing all the right things but still not seeing consistent clients, thereโs a good chance youโre in practice mode. Still.
Until you start having real conversations, your effort wonโt compound.You've got to get out there and have conversations daily to create leverage and clients.

I just spent most of my working hours yesterday and today deep in email deliverability correctly something I screwed up to make sure my domain reputation is solid and my emails stop going to spam.
Iโm happy to report my deliverability increased by 94% ๐๐พ
(After I accidentally deleted a bunch of DNS records on my domain host siteโฆ donโt ask ๐ฉ)

Research feels like work. It looks like progress on your calendar. You might even have dozens of tabs open and five books on your desk. You are convinced you need one more certification or one more market analysis before you can launch.
This is a trap. Itโs a form of stalling.
The corporate mind is trained to mitigate every risk before moving forward. In entrepreneurship, the greatest risk is inactivity and silence. You cannot research your way into a market launch. And, you cannot analyze your way into a sale.
Your business growth is going to be the result of once single action: Your ex*****on.
I promise that you will learn more from one failed pitch than from ten webinars on how to pitch. You will also refine your offer faster by talking to a prospect than by tweaking your landing page for the tenth time.
Your action creates the data you need. Everything else is noise and busy work.

You might be in the messy middle of building a business, and things donโt feel as clear as they used to. No surprise to me cause 2025 left many business owners scratching their heads, wondering why the things they used to do to attract clients no longer work.
When you were in corporate, you knew the next step. There was structure, a promotional ladder to climb, a system that carried a lot of that weight for you.
Well, not anymore. That scaffolding is gone. You've got to increase your capacity cause youโre on your own now, my fellow entrepreneur friend.๐
It makes sense that you were thinking, โmaybe I need another certificationโ or โI need another course.โ Thatโs exactly what one business owner said to me last month.
Had she asked my opinion on this I would have said something like - 'more credentials wonโt fix a weak business model. You need structure in your business. Structure and focus.' That alone would have solved her problem.
And the same is true for you.
When you left corporate, you also left a system that held everything together. The brand, the processes, the team, the workflows, etc. Now youโre responsible for building all of that on your own AND from the ground up.
So the issue is rarely your expertise which is why I'm saying you don't need more courses and certifications. Youโre qualified.
Instead, work on your leadership. This way youโre not trying to run your business with the same habits you used in corporate.
Entrepreneurship is asking something different from you. To be a visionary. The architect. The executor. You decide what the business offers, how clients come in, and how revenue is created. And itโs your ongoing experimentation of this that will have you landing consecutive clients when youโre in this messy middle.
