✨ Professor Sombra – Leader of Axé Capoeira Tucson. A dedicated teacher and dynamic player who brings the heat every time he steps in the game.

Congratulations to all of our students in our inaugural End of Winter Batizado. This is our first year hosting this smaller event and we couldn't be happier with the results. We will be hosting 2 events per year moving forward!

We had a couple milestones. Our first group of students from the new Rolling Meadows Academy got their first belts. Also, our first students from the afterschool program get theirs as well.

Saturday was small but sometime small rodas are the best. lots of energy and lots of time in the roda for those who were present. Don't miss the next one in October!

Last week we hosted our 20 year anniversary batizado and it was incredible. It took us a while to recover and gather ourselves. Thank you to all of the students and guests who came to celebrate with us. It warms our hearts to know you chose to be here with us to commemorate this milestone.

Special thanks to our honored guests and for dedicating their lives to capoeira and paving the way for people like us to have the opportunity to live our lives for capoeira as well. To have you both in our home was an honor.
