Don’t come at me… I’m good at what I do, but I do recognize other people are amazing at what they do too!

I’m always going to tell it how it is… and it’s taken a lot of grit, failing, and trying again to learn what I know and how to implement it… and be really friggen good at what I do.

I started small… and I truly believe that’s the best way to learn. It is not ego, it’s confidence and I built that confidence from the ground up & failed more times than most people try.

I am damn proud of what I’ve created & what I offer here .gymnastics.pt — and if you can vibe with that, you’re my people! šŸ«¶šŸ¼

This is what created .mcmurphy2028 success šŸ‘‡

Greta might be one of the most coachable athletes I’ve ever worked with… and it’s not because her journey has been smooth sailing.

She came to me with lower back pain that wouldn’t quit & was holding her back in practice… we worked through that and then she immediately injured her ankle.

It happened mid-season… and frankly, we both weren’t sure if she’d be able to compete the rest of season.

But—Greta came to me with a goal.

She took advantage of every piece of my Injury Recovery Program:
- every weekly check-in was filled in in detail
- every exercise was checked off
- she messaged me often with questions
- she got on a face-to-face call with me once a month during her lunch at school

We talked through her goals, how she was progressing, but mostly how to build her confidence and belief in herself.

She had never done her yurchenko full in competition BEFORE her ankle injury.

But… she wanted to train them & put them out there.

We worked through the steps that would take WHILE we rehabbed her ankle & managed her back:
- over rotated tucks and layouts
- timers, drills
- fulls to soft landings that over rotated
- quality turns over quantity

She showed me videos and we got on a call… I said ā€œyou’re ready, your full is ready… let’s get your head ready.ā€

The goal: compete it before state, over rotate it to protect her ankle, and put it out there that ā€˜yes, you can.’

Check āœ…

Now, build on that… rehab that ankle to tolerate the hard competition landing… build that confidence.

College is her goal—I told her colleges need vaulters with fulls and 1.5s.

Let’s get you seen.

Insert: Natty event specialist qualification and a stick! šŸ¤

We see you .mcmurphy2028 — THEY see you.

Let’s friggen go!

Greta’s coachability, passion and hard work got her here… luck had nothing to do with it.

In fact, you could say — she had ā€œbad luckā€ this season if you believe in that stuff.

I don’t.

Well done Greta! (And coaches) šŸ‘

I can still feel it in my back like it was yesterday… šŸ‘‡

I missed my hands on a straddle back and before I knew it my chin was on the mat and my feet were over my head.

I tried to compete beam after that but couldn’t bend backwards for my series without feeling like I was being stabbed directly in my spine.

I spent the next 48 hours alternating ice and heat on my back, sleeping on the tile floor of the bathroom with my mom curled up next to me.

Gymnastics can be unforgiving.

As a parent, it can be so hard to watch your gymnast experience an injury & know what the heck to do next.

You don’t want to see her hurt & you question the long term repercussions of it all BUT you don’t want to pull her from the thing she loves.

I see you. šŸ«¶šŸ¼

Navigating injuries can be one of the hardest parts about being a gymnastics parent.

I know you’re wondering, what do I do next? Should she ice? Heat? See a doc? Go to practice? — just like my mom did & now I do as a parent.

I know what you need because it’s exactly what I needed & my parents needed…

A plan.
Someone who’s been there.
An expert in the sport.

Someone who understands gymnastics injuries, and doesn’t look at you like you’re a bad parent for letting her keep flipping.

I know you don’t know me… so let me introduce myself…

Hi šŸ‘‹ I’m Brittany .gymnastics.pt - former NCAA gymnast & Doctor of Physical Therapy gymnastics specialist for injury prevention and recovery.

And I created the .gymnastics.pt from the ground up - come follow along, I’m glad you’re here.

One more… ā¬‡ļø

Forget how many you did, do one more.

Finished the set, do one more.

Frustrated, do one more.

Having the best day ever, do one more.

Not sure you can, do one more.

He told me… if you live by the ā€œdo one more theoryā€ you’ll never sell yourself short.

And one more rep, every day… is 365 more than your competition.

I learned it at 14, still think of it daily at 41.

Your gymnast heal if her pain came back the minute she started flipping againšŸ‘‡šŸ¤Ŗ

Hi šŸ‘‹ I’m Brittany .gymnastics.pt - former NCAA gymnast & Doctor of Physical Therapy gymnastics specialist for injury prevention and recovery.

The approach to gymnastics specific rehab NEEDS to be different.

Your gymnasts back pain is not the same as the 49 year old finance bro that works at a desk with back pain…

Your gymnast is different.

What she’s asking of her body is different.

Her schedule is different.

Her growing body is different.

Her rehab cannot be the same… it HAS to be different.

This is where a lot of parents don’t know what to do? Where to turn? Or what next step to take?

That’s why my .gymnastics.pt exists — to bridge the gap between regular PT & what actually gets your gymnastics back in the gym doing what she loves.

Two big takeaways in college recruiting for gymnasticsšŸ‘‡

1. Exposure: Camps, big competitions, posting on social

2. Being Coachable: Work hard, take the correction and apply it, ask questions, put a smile on your face

Don’t take yourself too seriously… perfect isn’t the answer, showing up consistently is!

This ONLINE program is for injured gymnasts age 7+ who need gymnastics specific injury recovery ā¤ļøā€šŸ©¹

If your gymnast has an injury, the steps you take towards the proper recovery can make or break her return back to the sport she loves.

I know this because I lived it as a NCAA and level 10 gymnast who suffered multiple injuries throughout my career. And also as a Doctor of Physical Therapy gymnastics specialist who has been helping gymnasts recover from injury for over a decade.

The Targeted Recovery Program is designed for your gymnasts sport & her busy lifestyle. It’s creates long lasting change & gives her the ability to take ownership over her recovery—not just by building strength, but also confidence.

If you have an injured gymnast or want to prevent injuries in your gymnast, you’re in the right place.

Make sure you’re following .gymnastics.pt so you don’t miss a thing!

I’m happy you’re here šŸ«¶šŸ¼
