What a day at the 2025 Chicago Marathon! 🏃🏾♂️🏃🏾♀️
We had an incredible time out on the course cheering on thousands of runners — especially our friend , who absolutely crushed it! 🏅🙌🏾
The energy was electric at the cheer station located right in Bronzeville, where community pride and marathon spirit came together in the best way possible.
At We Run Sports, we love being part of moments like these — where fitness, culture, and community collide. From the Bronzeville 5K Run/Walk & Kids Dash to the streets of the Chicago Marathon, it’s all about celebrating the power of movement and connection.

🏅 Race Record Alert! 🏅
We’re still in awe of our 2025 Bronzeville 5K Run/Walk & Kids Dash first-place finisher — who set a new course record by crossing the finish line in 18 minutes and 40 seconds with an incredible 6:01 pace! 💨
This year’s event was one for the books — over 300 runners, walkers, families, and community members came together to celebrate health, pride, and connection right here in Bronzeville.

What an unforgettable day in Bronzeville!
The 2025 Bronzeville 5K Run/Walk & Kids Dash brought together more than 300 runners, walkers, volunteers, families, and community supporters at Lillian Armstrong Park for a morning full of movement, motivation, and meaning.
From our youngest Kids Dash sprinters to our seasoned 5K finishers, the energy on the course was electric. Neighbors cheered from the sidelines, vendors and sponsors brought incredible support, and the sense of togetherness reminded us why this event means so much to the Bronzeville community year after year.
This year’s race wasn’t just about miles — it was about unity, pride, and purpose. Every step taken and every medal earned represents a collective commitment to health, community, and giving back to the students in our community who shape our future.
