The U.S. Senior National Legacy Soccer Program has announced the appointment of Matt Driver as a Program Consultant, supporting the continued development and strategic growth of the national program.

Driver joins the program in an advisory capacity and will assist leadership with strategic planning, program development, international relationships, and operational structure as the organization continues to expand its national footprint.

Matt Driver brings extensive experience in football administration, program management, and international football development, having worked across multiple areas of the game including player development pathways, club and program operations, and strategic advisory roles within the sport. His experience working within football environments both domestically and internationally provides valuable perspective as the program continues to build a structured national framework for senior players.

Within his consulting role, Driver will support the program in several key areas, including:

-Strategic growth and long-term program planning

-Strengthening operational structure and governance

-Supporting international relationships and competition pathways

-Advising on player development and identification structures

The U.S. Senior National Legacy Soccer Program currently oversees national team platforms for:

-U.S. Men’s Senior National (Over-40) Team

-U.S. Men’s Senior National (Over-50) Team

-U.S. Women’s Senior National (Over-35) Team

Over the past two years, the program has expanded significantly and now maintains a national player identification database of more than 100 athletes, with Player ID camps and tournaments used as the primary evaluation pathway.

According to David Jones, General Manager and Head Coach of the Men’s Over-40 program, the addition of Driver represents an important step in the continued professionalization of the organization.

“Matt brings a wealth of knowledge and experience within the game. As we continue to develop a structured national platform for senior players in the United States, his insight into program development and football operations will help strengthen the foundations of what we are building.”

The announcement also comes as the program has recently finalized preparations for the 2026 Senior World Cup, with a 33-man national training camp squad selected following the completion of the 2025–2026 Player ID cycle.

Looking ahead, the organization is now transitioning into the 2026–2027 evaluation cycle, with additional Player ID events, camps, and tournament opportunities planned across the United States for the Men’s Over-40, Men’s Over-50, and Women’s Over-35 programs.
