Boat trailer Update
I have purchased a used trailer and it's currently bein' reconfigured for my boat by my friends Dillon Holmes and Alan Underwood but like many projects what I thought I was going to spend to get it ready for the road is not goin' to cover the cost of the project
So in order to complete the project l'm havin' a flash sale on all Draggin’ Flies by Dan gear
Any orders of $100 or more I'll build an extra $20 of gear and I'll also cover the shippin'

Kokanee Krawl 26!!!
Just wanted to remind everyone that I'll be hostin' 2 Family Friendly Free Fishin' Events
The first one is on Saturday May 16th at Bullards Bar aka The Bar
The second one is on Saturday June 27th at Bucks Lake
I'm still hopin' to get some donations for the prize pool
My goal is to have enough prizes so that everyone who participates will get somethin'
I made these awards for the events with some help from my friends Dave Koistinen who cut the acrylic and Tim Hill who built the wooden bases
As I've said before it takes a bit of effort to pull off these events and i couldn't do them without some support
Lookin' forward to seein' some familiar faces and meetin' some new folks
So get your crews together, rig up your rods and, of course, DON'T forget to bring your special corn

I got a last minute invitation to go Striper fishin' again this mornin' and boy am I glad I went

William Barnes , Robert John Jimenez , Austin and I were lucky enough to land on a few piles of fish that were eager to grab our minnows and also chase some swim baits
I'm thinkin' some Striper Ceviche is in my immediate future

My good friend William Barnes had some time off of work so he invited me to go up to Lake Almanor for a couple of days of fishin'
Of course I said yes
This is definitely my favorite time of year to target trout
The trout are on or close to the surface and eager to play
In 2 days of fishin' we managed to land 44 trout!!
Friday mornin' we launched at Canyon Dam and just like before there were plenty of fish in and around the dam area
The fly rods were definitely the way to go
My Tequila Sunrise fly with a Pink and Purple Trailer fly was the presentation of choice
We ended up with 24 fish on Friday
Saturday mornin' we launched out of Rec 2 and worked the area between the launch and the Hamilton Branch
This mornin' one of my Pink and Purple Draggin' Spoons was the HOT LURE!!
We ended up with 19 trout!!!
44 is 2 days!!!

If you have not fished Almanor you should think about it
The scenery is spectacular, with awesome views of Lasson and the fish are beautiful and healthy
