www.ENVYchico.tumblr.com ENVY is Chico State's very own all hip-hop dance team.
We perform at half time shows for sporting events such as basketball, volleyball and soccer. We also participate in performances on campus such as Multicultural Night and the "Set it Off" competition. We hold auditions once every semester and encourage anyone to join us, even if you don't have much hip-hop dance experience.

Don't forget! Our food drive for The Jesus Center is today! We will be hosting a beginner's hip-hop dance class for people of all skill levels; no experience necessary! A minimum donation of 2 canned food or other items are required to participate. These items are also needed and can be donated
-canned fruits and vegetables, pancake mix & syrup, pasta & spaghetti sauce, tomato sauce, coffee.
Non-food items include: white socks, rain ponchos, gloves/mittens/caps, toothpaste & toothbrushes, deodorant, hand sanitizer, personal size shampoo.
All donations will go towards the Jesus Center to help our community in times of need.

The weather has started to get colder and the holidays are approaching. The Jesus Center has started their Harvest Food Drive to help those in need this season. We have teamed up with Health Professionals Association Hpa Chico to help a great cause.
We will be hosting a beginner's hip-hop dance class on Wednesday, November 12 from 7 - 9 PM. It will be hosted at the WREC in room 230 (upstairs). We will be teaching a fun choreographed dance. Everyone is welcome to come dance with us, regardless of skill level! Bring your friends!

After working hard at practice, we were finally ready for our first performance of the semester! We were glad to perform at Up 'til Dawn : An Elegant Affair to raise awareness for childhood cancer and help raise money for St Jude's hospital! We hope to perform again soon!
Thank you everyone who came to auditions! We had a great time meeting you all and had fun dancing with all of you. For those of you who came back today, we have sent out an email with your results. If you did not receive an email, please contact us!

Auditions are finally today! Today we will be teaching choreography upstairs at the WREC from 8 PM - 10 PM. Even if you're not sure about auditioning for the team, feel free to come and dance with us! Bring a friend with you! We hope to see you all tonight!

after our long summer break, we finally got back to dancing! It was a while so we definitely had to practice to see how we were. Practice is where we build ourselves as a team by working together to create choreography and offer each other suggestions as to how we can all look better on stage! We all mess up, have some rough moves, or even forget; but that's what practice is for! Here's a sneak peak into our weekly practices. Interested in being on the team? Auditions are next week! ...and we're back! We are up and running for another semester here at Chico State! Auditions for the Fall 2014 semester are next week on Monday September 22 from 8 PM - 10 PM and on Wednesday September 24 from 7 PM - 9 PM! We will be at the WREC in the rooms upstairs. We will be teaching choreography on the first day and have you come back on the second day to audition that piece for us. If you don't want to audition to be on the team, feel free to come anyway to learn a dance and have fun!
