Huntington Track & Field and Cross Country

One of our TWP families recently lost their home in a house fire. As the Mullet family begins the difficult process of recovering and rebuilding, we have an opportunity to come together and support them.

🏃🏻🏃🏻‍♀️Great job to Rachel, Hayden, Morgan, Jordyn, Cloe, Mason, Graeme, Cam, Ayden, and Lane, along with runners from Waverly, Adena, and Unioto, for taking on the trails and putting in the hard work. The miles and hills will pay off this season!

👏 A big thank you to my assistant coach Sam Barker, Waverly coaches Linda & Maddie McAllister, and Adena coach Clayton Lynch for supporting our athletes and helping make camp a great experience.

🇺🇸A HUGE THANK YOU to VFW Post 108 and the Order of the Eastern Star for sponsoring our Huntington runners. Your generosity gave our athletes the opportunity to attend camp, build endurance, and prepare for what we know will be a successful season.

This camp also wouldn’t have been possible without our amazing parent volunteers.
🍽️ Jim and Kim Lute have been our head cooks over the years, and once again they kept everyone well-fed throughout camp.
🏡 A special thank you to Alicia and Jason Stritenberger for renting a cabin so we had a full-size refrigerator to store food and leftovers each day.
👍🏻Thank you to Kaylyn and Nick Pryor for being there to encourage our runners and help wherever they were needed.
🚐 And finally, thank you to Adrienne Magill for running with the team and shuttling runners whenever they needed a ride.

Some of our TWP runners traveled down to Pike County for the Elm Grove Days 5k. Congratulations to Graeme Pryor placing 2nd overall and Connor Long for 3rd place overall. Hayden Magill also was the 1st place female runner.

Our 2026 Track & Field season officially came to an end tonight with the SEOTCA All District Banquet at Waverly HS.
🥇Landon Neff earned All District honors as the D4 Southeast District West High Jump Champion!
💪🏻Kalvin Manson was unable to attend the banquet but also earned All District honors as a D4 Shot Put State Qualifier!
Congratulations on a great season Landon and Kalvin!

🏃🏻‍♀️ We had a few Huntsmen take on the Chillicothe Half Marathon this morning! 🏃🏻

I forgot to get a picture, but I wanted to give a huge shoutout to some of our runners:

🥇 Rachel Lute won her age group, and 🥈 Connor Long finished 2nd in his age group!

As for Coach Magill… let’s just say 17th place in his age group wasn’t quite as impressive 😂

*Hayden Magill also ran today but started experiencing some hip pain and made the smart decision to stop after 10 miles.
