It’s finally here!

The day we’ve been counting down to since the last out of last season.

This morning hits a little different. The fields are freshly lined, the grass is cut just right, and there’s something about that smell of dirt and popcorn that just feels like home again.

For the kids,
It’s brand new gloves that still need broken in…
helmets a little too big…
jerseys tucked in (for now)…
and big league dreams that somehow feel real the second they step on the field.

For the parents… it’s a little different.
It’s realizing how fast it all goes.
It’s watching them grow up one season at a time.
It’s chairs down the foul line, group texts blowing up, and cheering like it’s Game 7 of the World Series even if it’s a 9am game and someone just ran to third instead of first.

And for the community… this is what it’s all about.
Friends reconnecting after a long winter, kids from different schools becoming teammates, families filling the crowd, and everyone coming together in one place.

So here’s to Opening Day.
To the laughs, the chaos, the big plays, the missed plays, and everything in between.
