Reminder: we are doing Family Free Swim EVERY Saturday for the month of July! Come join us tomorrow July 15th, as well as July 22nd and 29th, for some fun in the sun at our pool from 1:00-3:00pm. Feel free to bring the whole family or even a friend or two to enjoy! We will have a lifeguard and some pool toys but you're welcome to bring your own as well!

FAMILY FREE SWIM is back!! Blue Water Swim School is proud to offer free open swim time to all families enrolled in our program. Join us tomorrow Saturday 6/17 from 1-3pm for a fun filled time where you can practice with your children, have lots of fun, and cool off from the summer heat 🌞 We hope to see you here at the pool!

A 1991 graduate of Tempe High School in Arizona, Kevin Scott Smith was a four-time AZ State Champion and record holder in Swimming for the Tempe High Buffaloes. Kevin is a 12 time US Senior National Qualifier, ranked Top 100 in both the United States and World in the 200 and 400 Individual Medley in 1991 and qualified for and participated in the 1992 United States Olympic Trials. An Individual Medley specialist, this unique experience has led Kevin to become a true expert in all four competitive strokes. After high school, Kevin attended Northern Arizona University where he continued to swim and where he earned All-Conference honors in the 200 and 400 Individual Medleys, and 200 Butterfly including the Pacific Collegiate Swimming Conference Male Swimmer of the Year in 1995.

Our Motto = Nec literas didicit nec natare.

Our motto is derived from an Ancient Latin Phrase, which translates in English to "He had neither learnt to read nor to swim". Swimming was considered so important in Ancient Athens and Rome, that it was a sport in the First Olympic Games in Ancient Greece and it ranked with Letters, which was one of the Seven Liberal Arts in Roman education.
John Locke (1632–1704) the English Enlightenment Philosopher is credited with the following passage and relates that Swimming is a specialized skill which requires teaching. It is our mission to educate the San Diego Community in this essential life skill.
