Congratulations to Mavericks Julian Williams, Gavin Haubiel and Chris Reed who each earned MVP honors over the weekend while the team competed in Battle Creek, MI.

Julian hit .500 on the weekend, driving in two runs while also striking out six in 4 and 2/3 innings pitched.

Gavin hit .400 on the weekend with a double, three runs scored and two stolen bases.

Chris hit .333 with two doubles and four RBIs.

These young men will be representing the Mavericks in the Game Day USA All-Star Weekend in Cincinnati the weekend of August 9-11.

Congratulations boys!

🚨🚨🚨 Unfortunately, tonight’s final regular season game has been cancelled due to the heat. 🚨🚨🚨

The Mavericks will close out their season this weekend as they travel to Battle Creek, MI to partake in the GameDay USA Silver Series.

The Mavericks close out their regular season tonight heading to TCYO to take on the Ohio Knights in SWOL action. First pitch scheduled for 6:00 PM.

The Mavericks went on the road last night to take on a very good PBL team in SWOL action, and came away with a hard-fought 7-7 tie.

Julian Williams hurled a gem on the mound, going five innings and striking out seven while allowing zero earned runs. Julian also went 1-2 at the plate with an RBI.

John Schnee was 2-3 with a triple and an RBI, while De'triek Reed was 1-3 with a huge two-run double in the top of the 6th inning.

Chris Reed, Gavin Haubiel, Daniel Sipe and Landon Schlemmer each went 1-3 with Gavin, Daniel and Landon each driving in a run.

Aiden Haubiel, Brooks Taylor, Colin Molter and Finn Brians each scored a run, with Finn and Daniel each stealing two bases on the night.

The Mavericks will be back in action for a Father's Day doubleheader on Sunday for the last home action of the year before ending their season in Battle Creek, MI next weekend.

The first game of the Mavericks doubleheader scheduled for 1:00 PM has been canceled and the boys will now try to play a single game against the Kings Knights. First pitch scheduled for 4:00 PM.

It’s hard to beat a team who never quits.

The Mavericks scored yet another come-from-behind win this afternoon, defeating the Cincinnati Future Stars 9-8 in SWOL league play.

Trailing 8-5 heading to the seventh inning, the Mavericks put up four runs in the top of the seventh to take a 9-8 lead.

Julian Williams got the start on the mound, striking out four in three innings of work while also going 3-4 at the plate with an RBI.

Chris Reed and Brooks Taylor each had two hits and an RBI to help pace the offense.

Gavin Haubiel, Daniel Sipe, John Schnee, De’triek Reed, Colin Molter and Finn Brians all recorded hits to chip in, as well.

Aiden Haubiel picked up the win in relief, allowing zero earned runs in two innings of work.

The Mavericks will be back in action tomorrow with a doubleheader at home against the Kings Knights. First pitch scheduled for 1:00 PM at Groesbeck Park.

The Mavericks are on the road this morning taking on the Cincinnati Future Stars at Lincoln Lee Fields. First pitch at 10 AM.

The Mavericks picked up another come-from-behind win last night, scoring six runs in the top of the 7th inning to secure a 13-10 win on the road against the Terrace Park Lobos.

Colin Molter earned the win in relief, striking out two batters in 2 1/3 innings. Julian Williams picked up the save, working a perfect 7th inning and striking out two, while also going 4-4 at the plate with a double and four RBI.

Gavin Haubiel was 2-3 on the night with a double, two runs scored and an RBI, while John Schnee was 2-4 with a double, triple, three runs scored and an RBI.

Chris Reed, Aiden Haubiel, Brooks Taylor and Landon Shlemmer all picked up a hit and an RBI to help pace the offense, while Daniel Sipe scored three runs, drove in a run, and Finn Brians scored two runs while stealing a base.

The Mavericks will be back in action on Saturday morning as they travel to Lincoln Lee Fields in Harrison, OH to take on the Cincinnati Future Stars in a SWOL West matchup. First pitch at 10 AM.

A GREAT team victory with all 11 kids COMPETING until the end, and finding a way to win! Well done, boys!!!
