As basketball season is closely approaching, our athletes. We want to present you with five tips you can refer to when times are getting tough, and you face a mental health roadblock during your journey.
As physical as a basketball game is, it is equally taxing on an athlete's mental state throughout a long season. Your mental well-being is essential to your attitude and performance on the court. Many athletes go through trials and have no thought of seeking help or discussing their state of mind. It can also affect your social life with peers. Mental health among student-athletes has become an important topic and will continue to help empower the athlete community and create a sense of togetherness.

Nigel graduated from the University of Cincinnati, receiving a degree in Psychology B.A. He is currently a workforce specialist for Cincinnati Works.
