The returning league champions, the Stark County Wolfpack, made a statement in their return from the a season off with a dramatic win over the Mid-Ohio Patriots.
Despite falling to 0–2, the Patriots controlled most of the game. They held leads of 6–0, 12–8, and 28–16 heading into the fourth quarter. However, when it mattered most, they couldn’t close it out, ultimately losing 30–28 as time expired.
Mid-Ohio’s offense continues to show it can produce, but ongoing struggles on the defensive side of the ball proved costly once again.
The Mid-Ohio Patriots are the Cincinnati Bengals of the Midwest.
If your a part of the Patriots organization, how do you address the defensive issue?

Havoc was able to find their offense and open up the season with a win.

Lima continues to impress.
Lima started off slow, but their defense proved to be a problem for Canton. It seemed as if the Defensive Line of Lima set the tone all game. Lima walked away with 7 sacks against that porous Hurricane offensive line. With Lima now being 1-1 what is everyone's feelings about the rest of the season?
I dont think we are quite yet back to the days of old with Lima, but I love to see the direction they are trending.

Just remember Inside the Lines Rams by 7.
This came down to exactly what was expected. The offensive line of the Cowboys, could not handle the monstrous rotation of the Motor City Rams.
This is the NATIONAL game of the week.
The Illinois Cowboys coming off of a USA Bowl Championship win. The Motor City Rams coming off a season where their only loses were to the reigning National Champions the Detroit Ravens and the legendary Racine Raiders.
This game has a lot of factors to consider. I like to look at common opponents. For this game we can look at the Racine Raiders. Raiders beat the Cowboys 11-0 in 2025. Raiders beat the Rams in the playoffs by 7 at Motor City, however the Rams also beat the Raiders by 6 in Racine earlier in the year. This gives us a little insight, but isnt everything with travel considered.
As someone who has seen both of these teams in person, what stood out to me on both sides is what I think this game will come down to. The Cowboys have one of the most dominant offensive lines I have seen in Semi-Pro. Traditionally they had a line that had perfect combination size and mobility. On the Rams side of the ball that defensive line has been a difference maker every season. What makes this unit so solid is the DEPTH. While yes they have some studs, but every single one that makes it into a game is very good.
With this game being in Michigan, I will take Motor City Rams by 7.

With the folding of the Hawks some big talent is going to Flag City. This was the Phantoms best case scenario.
Also, how poetic is it for Maurice Mo-Money Lovett Sr. ? He is told to take a hike by Hawks leadership 2 years ago, Hawks no longer exist and Maurice is at the helm of a ship that outlasted the organization that booted him.

The Cincinnati Hawks have officially folded. From PFA 2A champions to I75 champions to folding up shop right before the season. What a crazy 4 months for Cincinnati.
Cincinnati officially has no Semi-Pro team this year

The Harrisburg Havoc open their season at home this weekend, squaring off against the Buffalo Blizzard as league play kicks off across the WFA. For Havoc, this isn’t just another opener it marks their fifth season as an organization and their first step up into Division II.
Last year didn’t go the way they had hoped. Harrisburg finished 1–5, with their lone victory coming in a 28–12 win over the New Hampshire Rebellion. Outside of that game, the offense struggled to find the end zone, leaving plenty of unfinished business heading into this season.
Buffalo finds itself in a similar position. The Blizzard also ended 1–5, though their only win came via forfeit meaning they never secured a victory on the field. Still, there’s a twist: despite the record, Buffalo showed more consistency in putting some points on the board week to week.
That contrast makes this matchup compelling. The Havoc appeared capable of moving the ball but struggled to convert drives into points. The Blizzard, meanwhile, found ways to score but couldn’t keep up. Now, both teams enter a new season looking to prove last year was an outlier.
Ultimately, this game may come down to the offseason who recruited better, who developed more, and who put in the work when no one was watching.
Early impressions from social media point toward a re-energized Havoc squad. With home-field advantage and something to prove, I’m taking Harrisburg in a tight one.
**Prediction: Havoc by 6.**

This game went exactly as expected to most of us. To be honest I expected this to go much worse for the Fury. The Grizzlies have proven that they are a NO JOKE team and organization, so for Flint to even score I am kind of impressed. This is also just a rough game to kick off the season for Flint.
Is this the same Grizzlies team or did you expect more out of them?
Was this just a bad matchup for Flint, or is this what we can expect this year?

Beaver County Revenge Tour has begun.
Despite falling short in the 2A championship last year to the now Ohio Broncos (3A), they seemed to take the championship mindset to this season. They start off my mauling the brand new team the Warren Pirates. This is typical new team lumps, so we weren't surprised. The Bengals are a favorite within the PAFL to run through the 3A division.
Bengals: 41
Pirates: 0

This game has more stories then can be counted.
From the surface this looks like just a loss for the Lima Warriors, but let's take a step back. The Glass City Tigers are coming off a tough national championship loss to Tarpon Springs Pirates. For those who are unaware some have Tarpon Springs as a top 5 team in the nation. GCT lost a VERY competitive game to them. This shows the true potential of GCT. I do feel that GCT's LB core continues to get exposed now by both Tarpon Springs and Lima. This game only got out of hand in the 4th.
Lima has always been an interesting team to follow. I may be speaking some ancient history when I tell you that Lima was a top team in the nation at one point. Now we see a lima team go toe-to-toe with GCT who just went toe-to-toe with Tarpon Springs. Lima is on an upswing and I personally love to see it.
Where does this leave us? Is Lima ready to step back into the spotlight? Is GCT a top team this year? Tell us your thoughts.
