[02/26/15] When swinging your fairway woods at the driving range, it’s recommended that you actually use only 70 percent to 80 percent of your normal power, focusing on rhythm and balance instead. This will help you to develop good technique with the “big sticks.”
[02/24/15] Use the driving range to test out clubs that you wish to purchase. Some driving ranges offer sponsor days or even “borrow and buy” events, where you can try out the newest clubs on the market yourself and buy them onsite.
[02/19/15] Unfortunately, a hectic lifestyle can make it nearly impossible to spend as much time on the golf course as you might like. Remember, even if you can only spend a half-hour here and there, that’s still plenty of time to keep your swing sharp on the driving range.
[02/17/15] Costs for driving ranges do vary; however, practicing here is typically always less expensive than playing a full round of golf on the course. Golf courses could charge as much as $100 or more for a round of golf plus the cost of a bucket of balls.

[02/12/15] For safety reasons, if you’ve tapped your ball, and it rolls off the tee just a foot or two outside of the stall, you should avoid going to pick it up. Doing so puts you in range of getting hit, and it’s not worth getting an extra swing if you get injured.

[01/27/15] Holding your club with neutral hands means to have an equal amount of pressure and surface area covered by each hand. The “V” between your thumb and index finger should be pointing towards your rear shoulder, NOT your face.
[01/22/15] Why is it better to get golf practice at a driving range instead of the golf course? You'll produce better shots when there is less pressure involved, and when you're on the golf course, there is pressure to shoot a good score. That's not the case on the driving range.
[01/20/15] One of the benefits of hitting the driving range is that it offers greater flexibility for practicing. Not only do you have the freedom to practice on things you are struggling with, but the driving range also takes much less time (around a half-hour compared to four hours on the average golf course).
[01/15/15] Does it ever feel like you lost your swing and can’t get it back after a recent injury or accident? While time on the driving range can heal what ails you, it can help you to focus on your swing and follow-through so you can figure out what you’re doing differently.
[01/13/15] Too many golfers swing their club back too far in their backswing to where the club travels behind the body rather than swinging the club up over the shoulder. Keep a close eye to see if you need to devote some practice time to correct this.
[01/08/15] Do you warm up before playing a round of golf? There’s no better preparation for a golf outing than some time at the driving range, according to experts. Hitting a bucket of balls will warm up your muscles so it’s less likely that you’ll suffer any injuries while playing.
[01/06/15] Do you ever worry that your hectic schedule that’s keeping you from getting to the course as much as you want could be killing your golf swing? Remember, even just an hour at the driving range can go a long way toward maintaining your swing.
[01/01/15] Trying to correct a problem in your golf swing is nearly impossible to do on the golf course, because the rules don’t allow for unlimited practice shots. At a golf driving range, it’s possible to spend an hour or two working on your driver, irons, or any area of your game.
[12/30/14] Keeping your head down while you make a full swing at a golf ball is a golden rule. This allows you to follow through, and hit the ball accurately with the club head. Lifting your head prematurely to see where the shot went will result in a short shot.
[12/25/14] To increase distance in your drives, be sure not to over swing your club behind you during the backswing. Place your leading arm behind the elbow of your trailing arm and swing your club back until the arm pivots at a 90-degree angle. Once you reach that point, pause and add the leading arm before following through with the swing.
[12/23/14] Have you been hesitant to take golf lessons because you aren’t sure what aspect of your game you need to work on? Don’t worry! We can always help you assess your skills and change the direction of your lessons as we uncover new challenges.
