We have come to smoke your ci**rs and tell you how they were...

Today’s cigar offering is the Kristania Maduro by Kristoff Ci**rs. The initial nose of Clove, Barnyard, Coffee, and Sweetness come through strong. Tasting notes of Black Licorice (I hate black licorice), Chocolate, Cedar, and Floral notes come through from the cigar for the first third. Second third still has Cedar, some Coffee flavors show up, Leather, and that Black Licorice (still hate black licorice) is still hanging out. Last third comes through with some Cloves, Hay, and Cedar. The Licorice flavors are hard for me to get past while smoking the cigar so I will do my best to try and overlook them for the purpose of this review.

The cigar itself is free from visible imperfections and is a rich brown in color, no soft spots, and is kind of hard to the squeeze. The wrapper is a nice chocolate brown with some very minor veins, a very oily sheen, and a brown double band. The burn was clean and uniform throughout the smoke, and the ash was a nice marbled grey which was pretty tight though it fell off after the first third. I used my punch on the cigar and a quad Jetline lighter for the light and slight retouching during the duration of the smoke.

Wrapper: Brazilian Arapiraca Maduro
Binder: Dominican Habano
Filler: Dominican Habano
Length: 6 Inches
Ring Gauge: 52
Size: Toro
Body: Medium/Full
Smoke time: Just over 1 hour and 20 minutes

Take away: Honestly I must admit that I did not care for the flavor profile of this cigar. Me and black licorice are not friends and it did heavily influence my review despite my best intentions. That being said if you are a fan of black licorice then this cigar might be in your flavor wheel house. It had the smooth punch that one would expect of a Dominican Habano cigar blend which makes this cigar a true full bodied smooth cigar. This would make a welcome addition to any humidor smoking rotation (not mine however), as long as you like licorice, and it’s selling point won’t break the bank. I would have liked to have tried the cigar without the licorice flavors coming through but it wasn’t in the cards.

I would give this cigar ⭐️⭐️out of a possible five stars.

Anyone have any recommendations for ci**rs that I can review? Obviously I am forced to live in the real world and teachers don’t make that much so try to keep financials in mind when making recommendations... Unless of course you want to donate ci**rs to have them reviewed... If that is the case feel free to PM... I will try to post another review tonight!

Tonight’s cigar offering is the Archetype Sacred Scales by Ventura Ci**rs. The initial nose of Chocolate, Earth, Coffee, and Hay comes through strong. Tasting notes of Black Pepper, Chocolate, Cedar, and Sweetness comes through from the cigar for the first third. Second third still has Cedar notes but some Coffee flavors show up, along with some Leather. Last third comes through with some Coco flavor though there were some burnt flavoring tainting the last bits. The burnt flavors might have been due to me trying to get a little more smoke out of the cigar so I will overlook them for this review.

The cigar itself is free from visible imperfections though there is a slight color differential between the top and bottom of the cigar, no soft spots, and is firm to the squeeze while not being hard. The wrapper is a nice chocolate brown with some minor veins, a minor oily sheen, and a very eye catching blue and pink double band. The burn was clean and uniform throughout the smoke, and the ash was a nice marbled grey/black which was pretty tight and fell off after the halfway point. Used my punch on the cigar and a quad Jetline lighter for the light and slight almost nonexistenent retouching.

Wrapper: Maduro
Binder: Ecuadorian
Filler: Nicaragua
Blend: Mexican San Andres
Length: 5 Inches
Ring Gauge: 50
Size: Robusto
Smoke time: Just over 45 minutes

Take away: A solid cigar that was kinda flashy and eye catching with its popping colors. Not going to lie it did help me to choose it from the store. It had the peppery punch that one would expect of a Nicaraguan cigar which when blended with mellowing to***co making it a true medium bodied cigar. This would make a welcome addition to any humidor smoking rotation and it’s price point won’t break the bank though I would have liked to have tried it in a larger size.

I would give this cigar ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of a possible five stars.

I know I haven’t done a review in a long time so bear with me if I’m a bit rusty... Sitting here listening to nature and watching lightning play amongst the clouds off to the South.

Tonight’s pairing is a Blind Man’s Bluff with Paddy Beesting... The honey notes of the Irish whiskey blend goes well with the Cedar, Hay, and Coffee notes of the cigar for the first third. Second third still has Cedar notes but slight chocolate notes start to come through as the previous other flavors take a back seat. Last third comes through with some sweet notes and leather, added to the previous mix.

The cigar itself is free from visible imperfections, no soft spots, and is firm to the squeeze while not being hard. The wrapper is a nice chocolate brown with some minor veins, and a simple yet elegant gold band. Found myself having to retouch the burn quite frequently which was a small issue, and the ash was a nice marbled grey which was pretty tight. Made use of my punch on the cigar and a quad Jetline lighter for the light and retouching.

Country of Origin: Honduras
Wrapper: Ecuadorian Habano
Binder: Honduras
Filler: Dominican Republic & Honduras
Length: 6 Inches
Ring Gauge: 52
Size: Toro
Smoke time: Just over an hour

Take away: A solid cigar that wasn’t flashy and honestly didn’t blow me away with its flavor profile. It has the normal smoothness you would expect of a Dominican/ Honduran blend but lacked a real punch so I would call it a true medium bodied cigar. This would make a welcome addition to any humidor smoking rotation and it’s price point won’t break the bank.

I would give this cigar ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of a possible five stars.
