I thought everyone spent all day thinking about food, and I thought that was normal.

You wake up, you think about breakfast.

You finish breakfast, you start thinking about lunch..

You get through lunch and spend the afternoon negotiating with yourself about dinner, and everything in between.

I thought everyone drove past restaurants and mentally debated whether they should stop.

I thought everyone stood in the kitchen after dinner looking for "just one more thing" even though they weren't really hungry.

For years, food took up more space in my mind than I want to admit.

Every event, every vacation, every holiday, every stressful day seemed to revolve around what I could eat, what I shouldn't eat, and whether I had already ruined the day.

And at that time, I hadn't even realized that food was in charge.

Then one day I was sitting with my doctor and casually mentioned how I thought about food all day long.

She looked at me and said, "Ronda, that's not normal."

I remember sitting there stunned because I genuinely thought everyone lived that way. Only when I changed what and when I ate, I realized food didn't have to take up that much space in my mind.

The surprising part about my 120-pound weight loss wasn't what I stopped eating. It was what I started eating more of.

For years, I thought fat was something I needed to avoid. Low-fat sounded healthier and it was heavily promoted, smaller portions sounded smarter, and feeling hungry felt like proof I was doing something right.

But that way of eating never kept me satisfied for long. I would lose weight and soon enough I would get back to the old habits.

When I joined the Dr. Sears Wellness Institute Educational program, it was the first time I heard that healthy fats are not the enemy. On top of that, it was explained so easily that I started understanding why I was struggling with weight loss all those years.

Real, whole foods like eggs, avocado, meat, butter, olive oil, and other satisfying foods helped me stay full in a way low-fat diet foods never did.

When my meals were built around real food, protein, and healthy fats, I stopped feeling like I had to fight my way through the day.

I was not constantly looking for something else after eating, and I was not white-knuckling my way to the next meal.

That made consistency so much easier.

My 120-pound weight loss did not come from starving myself or living on packaged “diet” foods.

It came from learning how to feed my body in a way that helped it respond.

If healthy fats still scare you a little, I understand. I had to unlearn that too.

What is one healthy fat you enjoy now that you used to avoid?

More than 70% of adults in the U.S. are overweight or obese. Yet most weight loss advice still focuses on eating less and exercising more.

A few thoughts on that:

▪️ If eating less and exercising more was the complete answer, we would probably be seeing better results by now.

▪️ Most people already know they should eat better and move more. Information is rarely the problem.

▪️ Many people are trying very hard, but they are hungry, tired, dealing with cravings, and wondering why their body is not responding the way they expected.

▪️ The quality of the food we eat matters. The timing of our meals matters. Sleep matters.

Stress matters. Health is usually more complicated than a simple calorie equation.

One of the biggest shifts for me was realizing that weight loss is not always about trying harder.

Sometimes it's about understanding what is actually keeping you stuck.
That perspective changed my own health journey, and it changed the way I help other people approach theirs.

What do you think is the biggest thing missing from most weight loss advice these days?

After helping more than 500 people lose weight and improve their health, we've built a system that helps many members lose 10 pounds or more during their first month.

Most people who join me inside Real Health Resolvers are facing a healthcare issue that they know has to be addressed now.

They've already done the diets, counted points, measured portions, cut calories, bought special foods, started over on Monday more times than they can count, and spent years wondering why the weight keeps coming back.

What breaks my heart is how many people have started believing that feeling tired, inflamed, hungry, frustrated, and stuck is just part of getting older.

I know exactly how that feels because I was there too.

When I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's Disease, I stopped looking at my weight as the problem and started looking at my health.

For years I had been focused on eating less and trying harder. Suddenly I was asking a completely different question.

What if my body wasn't failing me?

What if it simply needed better support?

That question changed everything.

Inside Real Health Resolvers, we don't give people a strict menu and tell them exactly what they have to eat for the rest of their lives.

We teach you how to choose better foods, understand how your body works, and recognize what your body actually needs to function well.

We start by helping your body recover from years of poor nutrition, blood sugar swings, inflammation, and confusion.

And something interesting often happens when the body starts getting the support it needs.

The excess weight begins letting go, since your body is finally getting the resources it needs to function the way it was designed to.

That's why many of our members are surprised by how much progress they make during their first month, which is at least 10 pounds.

If you're ready to learn how to better support your body while working toward losing 10 pounds or more, comment RHR and I'll send you the program details.
