This year the Stephen Doughton Jr. Foundation unfortunately did not hold its annual Golf Tournament due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The health and safety of our participants is the most important and we knew it wouldn’t be the same during this unprecedented year. We knew canceling it would mean we wouldn’t be raising as much money for Leukemia Research and Patient Assistance as years past. However, our donors stepped up and we still received many donations! We are happy to announce we will be donating $20,000 to Wake Forest Baptist Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dr. Powell and his team will use these donations to continue to find ways to improve Leukemia patient’s lives through research and assistance.

2020 is a year we will never forget but as it comes to an end we want to say Thank You to all of our supporters and we look forward to seeing you all on the golf course next year!

Happy Holidays!

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we will not hold our annual golf tournament this Fall. The health and safety of all participants, staff, and volunteers is of upmost importance. We are grateful to everyone who has supported the tournament and Foundation for the past 11 years and we look forward to another successful fundraiser in 2021!

The Stephen Doughton Jr. Foundation will donate $40,000 to the Wake Forest Baptist Cancer Center in 2019. Our largest donation to date. This donation will be used by Dr. Bayard Powell and his team to initiate research projects. With the results of this initial research, they are able to apply for and receive larger grants that will fund further research in finding new and better ways to treat Leukemia. Over the last 11 years, the Foundation has donated over $255,000 to support research and patient assistance.

We would not be able to do this without so many who participate in our annual golf tournament year after year in addition to individual contributions. Thank you for your support and we look forward to 2020!

On October 30th Stephen, Kara, Mark and Susan presented a check for $35,000 to the Wake Forest Baptist Comprehensive Cancer Center. This is the largest donation that the Foundation has donated in our 11 year history. We are very thankful for all of our supporters as we wouldn't be able to donate this amount without their gifts to the Foundation. We look forward to next year's golf tournament fundraiser as it is our goal to continue to give more funds each year.
