One of the best qualities a young athlete can have is the willingness to learn from mistakes and use them to get better, and Elyse embraces exactly that! 💪 Every practice, every game, and every rep is another opportunity to learn and grow.

Whether she’s making plays at 2nd base or covering ground in center field, Elyse continues to work hard and develop her game — all while enjoying softball with her teammates and friends! 🥎💙

🥎⭐ WHAT A WEEKEND FOR THESE GIRLS! ⭐🥎

Rain shortened our Sunday, but that didn’t stop these girls from ballin’ out! We finished the weekend 3-1 and were named Silver Bracket Champs of the RED 10U pool/bracket.

With 24 teams in the tournament, the field had to be split up, and our girls took care of business in their pool of teams. More importantly, you can really start to see things coming together with this new team.

I could say something about every single girl and what she did this weekend, but this post would be way too long! 😂 Every player contributed in some way, and that’s what makes me proud.

We keep talking about the same things:

🥎 Trust the process.
🥎 Fundamentals.
🥎 Development-focused practices.
🥎 SOFTBALL IQ!!
🥎 Learn the game, not just the play.

The work we’re putting in during practice is starting to show when it matters. We’re still developing, still learning, and still have plenty of work ahead of us, but this group is starting to figure out how to play together. Keep working. Keep learning. Keep trusting the process.

Our first tournament of the fall is in the books, and there is A LOT to be excited about with this group! This weekend gave our pitching staff exactly what we needed, live tournament innings, adversity, and opportunities to compete!

We used three pitchers this weekend

Charlotte #1 Game 1 96 pitches 53 strikes

Calli #21 Game 2: CG game / 3 innings

💪 8 batters faced

At 10U, pitching development isn’t just about the stat line. It’s about learning how to compete when runners get on, trusting your defense, finding the strike zone, and having the confidence to throw the next pitch.

Offensive:

We talk constantly about being patient at the plate, having quality at-bats, putting pressure on the defense, and finding ways to get on base. The girls did exactly that this weekend!

That .615 OBP really stands out. Our girls competed at the plate and didn’t feel like they had to swing just to swing. 21 walks in 3 games shows patience and discipline, and once we got on base, we were aggressive — 28 stolen bases!

There are plenty of things we saw this weekend that we need to clean up and continue working on, but that’s exactly what tournament softball is about. We’re a developmental team. Every inning gives these girls an opportunity to learn, gain confidence, increase their softball IQ, and get better.

🥎⭐ TOURNAMENT WEEKEND IS HERE! ⭐🥎

We are VERY excited to kick off our first tournament of the Fall this weekend at the SFP Labor of Love Tournament!

These girls have put in the work. They’ve practiced hard, learned, and continued to grow together as a team. Now it’s time to take everything we’ve been working on and bring it to the field!

Our goal stays the same. play hard, play smart, compete for each other, and execute the fundamentals. Wins will come, but development, effort, attitude, and being great teammates will always come first.

We’re ready to see what this group can do! Time to get the Fall season started! ⭐💙🥎
