Since 2019, Vince Scatena's racing season ends with the Cup Karts North America Grand Nationals at New Castle Motorsports Park. Over the years the entries have grown (400+) and the talent has sky rocketed with competitors traveling from all corners of North America with support of factory teams, team mates, driver coaches, data analysts, and mechanics.
We traveled to this event solo with our trailer in tow to measure ourselves against the best and this year Vince was dialed in. He showed the speed to compete in the top 10 and delivered 3 top 5 finishes in the heat races Saturday. For the final on Sunday, Vince started 9th in his Stewart Racing Engines powered Compkart 4R. After surviving a few trips to the grass courtesy of other drivers, he was in 19th and it was time to move forward. While he didn't have the kart to battle for a top 5, he put his head down and drove to 11th overall!
Now it's time to put the 2023 plan together.

Finding world class partners in any industry is tough, but when you find the one you just know it.
This is our second season working with Stewart Racing Engines. From our first experience with Howard until now, his product and service has done nothing but exceed our expectations over and over.
Last weekend, we received a freshly serviced engine from Howard and we have come to assume his engines are always fast and ready to go. But it's the attention to details that separates Howard from the rest. The engine comes back immaculate, packaged with extra care, parts individually bagged, and every detail down to the last bolt is perfect.
Thank you Howard for your amazing support!

It's been a busy summer of racing at Stockholm Karting Center! Vince Scatena has been working hard prepping for the Cup Karts North America season finale at Michiana Raceway Park this weekend 8/20-8/21 in Indiana and he is ready to go!
Over the past few weekends, Vince has wheeled his #093 Stewart Racing Engines Compkart 4R chassis to 2 overall wins. He is looking to take that momentum into this weekend.
Time has been spent with the other TWR Karting drivers in multiple classes and the CompKart 4R chassis continues to show great speed across the board.
206 Rookie - Noah Heidecker has put his #12 kart on pole and secured multiple heat wins. He is looking to finish strong and be in the hunt for the overall championship.
206 Heavy - Sam Vander Plaats made the move to the heavy class in his #63 kart and has earned a pole position and multiple top 5 finishes. Jason Green in his #615 kart continues to show great speed this year and looks to continue his progress this year.
206 Senior - Ella Mork drove her #344 kart to a top 10 qualifying and is looking to put together some great finished in the remaining races.
Our best racing partner, Jordan Bachmeyer is always a threat on track. He battles with his #15 kart and is always in contention for the win. He and Vince have had some great battles this year and he published great content if you are in need for some racing action.

We were back racing at Stockholm Karting Center for race #3 and #4 of the season.
Special thanks to Nate Dean Motorsport Photography. He captures amazing photos throughout the race day and also coordinated this group photo for the 2022 season.
Once again, drivers on their Compkart 4Rs were FAST!
Noah Heidecker #12 206 Rookie - dialed in the speed on Sunday qualifying P1 and winning heat 3. Way to go Noah!
Jacob Green #615 206 Heavy - continued the trend of finding speed on Sunday qualifying P2 and winning heat 3.
The 206 Senior class continues to be a must watched class. With 24 drivers and talent through the field, you won't want to miss the action.
It was a front row lockout on Saturday for Vince Scatena #093 and Jordan Bachmeyer #15. Congrats Jordan on the overall win on Saturday.
Vince Scatena #093 piloted his Stewart Racing Engines powered CompKart to 2 pole positions, 4 heat wins, P2 overall Saturday, P1 overall on Sunday.

It was great to be back racing at our home track, Stockholm Karting Center for their first race of 2022.
The weather was great, the entries were record breaking, and drivers piloting their Compkart 4Rs were FAST!
Noah Heidecker #12 206 Rookie - this was his first weekend racing his new CompKart and he wheeled it to P1 on Saturday while also setting the fastest lap!
Jacob Green #615 206 Heavy - in only his third season, he is developing the pace to run up front. He finished P3 on Saturday while setting fastest laps in both Heats 1 & 2.
The 206 Senior class was stacked with 22 drivers and the drivers on Compkart chassis were running up front. Sam Vander Plaats #63 in his second season at Stockholm Karting Center and first year on a CompKart made major improvements over the day finishing P6 in the Saturday final. Jordan Bachmeyer #15 was out of karting for most of 2021, but made his 2022 return to finish P3 on Saturday.
Vince Scatena #093 piloted his Stewart Racing Engines powered CompKart to 3 heat wins, P1 overall, and set the fastest lap in the final. He was testing a new axle from TYCA Technologies and we will be sharing details with TWR Karting drivers as we learn more about this patented axle technology.

April marks the official start of racing in the mid west and it has been a busy one. Starting off with the season opener for the Route66 Kart Racing series at New Castle Motorsports Park we encountered snow for the first time at a race! While cold, Vince Scatena drove hard and finished on the podium in P5. Just 2 weeks later, we hit the season opener for the Cup Karts North America series G&J Kartway and the racing was intense. With nearly 30 drivers from across the country, Vince had the Stewart Racing Engines powered Compkart 4R dialed in and finished P4 on Saturday and P2 on Sunday! it's always a good feeling to leave the track with your engine partially disassembled 😀
For the month of May, we will be racing at our local track, Stockholm Karting Center. We are looking forward to getting back to that amazing faciliity and seeing our racing family and friends.
Thanks to AG Digital Content for the awesome pictures.

We have been racing since 2008. While we have been fortunate to experience victories on track, we believe the biggest victory is time spent together with family and friends off track. In 2021 we formed the company TWR Karting to represent Compkart and Briggs & Stratton 206 kart racing. Today is my first post as TWR Karting.
Last weekend embodied the essence of TWR Karting. We traveled to Charlotte, NC to complete in the Cup Karts North America Spring Nationals along with Jason Dan Eddy, Brian Vacek, and Gordon Bachmeyer . We worked together to get ready after a long winter - preparing karts, coordinating transportation, making travel plans, setting up the pit spots, and planning the supplies to get us through the weekend.
On track, Alyssa Eddy #100 finished P40 in the Sportsman/Cadet class. She made amazing improvements throughout the weekend running her fastest time of the weekend in her final race - shaving almost 5 seconds of her first practice time! Brian Vacek #093 finished P27 out of 46 in the Senior Light class. He improved his speed throughout the weekend while acclimating to a chassis he had never raced before. Vince Scatena #093 finished P28 out of 46 in the Senior Medium class. Vince was hoping to improve on his 2021 performance where we never found the right setup for this track. We came with a new setup plan for 2022 that we executed on Friday and Saturday and it wasn’t working. After discussions with the rest of the group we made 1 final change to the kart overnight and went P11 in morning warmup on Sunday! Unfortunately it was too late in the weekend to take advantage of that speed, but we are excited for what the rest of 2022 brings.
It was with a heavy heart that we traveled to this event without my youngest son Joe, who we lost in December of 2021. Both Brian and Vince ran #093 to bring Joe with them. Joe is a huge part of our company name and logo design - TOGETHER WE RACE. Nothing will ever be the same without Joe, but we will do this TOGETHER.
